The tightest and strongest conjunction I have is Lilith EXACT conjunct my MC. I feel this aspect a lot but its hard to explain.

Can someone explain if this can play the dominant role in my chart

And what would a Lilith conjunct an angle bring about in my character/appearance?

Manwh*re! I'm kidding! I'm kidding!

quote:

Asteroid Lilith
Asteroid #1181 bears Lilith's name and orbits around the Sun approximately every four years. I think of the female-named asteroids as aspects of the Great Goddess, and Lilith is one of the most ancient. The asteroid seems to represent split-off, demonized aspects of the feminine, the result of long-standing cultural projections that perceive feminine roles and attributes as shameful, untrustworthy, and dangerous. Our personal Lilith placement may show where we struggle with social judgments that define how the feminine qualities should be expressed in order to "fit in." These cultural projections define us, but are not us. Here we may not be seen clearly. A prominent Asteroid Lilith in the birth chart may indicate a person who does not fit the cultural stereoty pe, leading to some kind of exile from the community.

The symbol for Asteroid Lilith is a stylized hand that signals warning, greeting, or blessing.(5) Perhaps it is how we approach her that will determine what this hand gesture means. In the classic book, Asteroid Goddesses, Lilith is described as signifying resentment and inner rage; she sets herself apart, flies into exile. She is fiercely independent. She refuses to submit to the assumed authority of another or to compromise her beliefs. Lilith asks us to deal with confrontation and issues of equality in relationship. Her asteroid ephemeris can also be found in this book.(6)

After our last convo, it seems pretty clear to me NYC, MC in sag, right?! An independence of mind (unconventional philosophies) that may displace you from those with mainstream convictions. Daring to be different is often demonized and exposes one to experiences of shame, distrustfulness, and danger. It's said that this all relates to views towards feminine qualities/roles, but is not succumbing to a stereotypical female role really what defined Lilith, or was it her independence of mind and self-respect in a world trying to rob her of it? In my opinion, resisting the feminine role was just a byproduct of an independent mind.

I've read a few different interpretations for Lilith. I don't know which to use (as described below), but I figure I'd give it a shot!

quote:

The Astrological and psychological descriptive meanings of Black Moon Lilith can refer to various cultural mythologies pertaining to somewhat darker references of life. Some myths describe how there is a crisis during the creative beginnings of life on Earth in the Garden of Eden. Apparently Adam’s first wife was Lilith and that didn’t go very well.

In essence however the Black Moon Lilith point describes a part of personality that is not only outside of one’s awareness but buried deep in the subconscious realms of the psyche. Like Adam and Lilith in the creative beginnings, there are signs that Lilith has her place in early developmental life. Although “Lilith” in personality is described as repressed, “she” becomes overtly active in thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

That kinda explains the "feeling it" but not being able to describe it.

quote:

To understand what these asteroid placements in our chart mean, we need to look at the mythology behind them. And we must be willing to examine them fully. If we look at the unadorned, politically incorrect, archaic tales, we will at least have a place to start. Then we will see what the story tells us—no frills.

Lilith—along with Ceres and Pallas and Juno and Vesta—can shore our sense of self together into a tapestry that is written with our own names, the most sacred and highest, which are the ones we have created for ourselves.

-----------------------------------------------------------

If we were to name her energies, I'd call her: fixed (stubborn), uranian (independent, unconventional, rebellious), Plutonian (dark, transformative, intense). Maybe this placement reinforces other aspects of your natal. If our souls choose our charts, every prominent placement should have a purpose in our overall growth. Perhaps, seeing this aspect in the wider context will give greater insight. No aspect works alone!

I have BML conjunct my MC by four degrees with my chart ruler (Uranus) wedged right in between them.

I know its not the asteroid, but, still. Some of this rings true.

Happy holidays, y'all!

Hi, SB!

The first article quoted above goes on to say:

quote:

Astro-mythologist Demetra George suggests that, although each Lilith contains the entire symbolic meaning of the archetype, each one may also represent different phases of her mythology, in which "the cycle of our Lilith experience is initiated by the asteroid Lilith, developed by the Dark Moon Lilith, and completed by the Black Moon Lilith."(11) I believe this is a good initial approach. Personal life stories will show the intertwining of the three with unique individual coloring.

It makes sense that these descriptions still resonate.

Nyc,

Look:

quote:

On the other hand, people with Lilith in Sagittarius have a problem communicating with the surrounding world, which is why it seems to them that no one gets them or understands them.
