My articles are all driven from being curious. I referenced the asteroid Echo in my recent article on placements that tend to make people insecure. I talked about Echo conjunct the Sun, solely. I did this, so as not to make my article too wordy. In reality, Echo conjunct other parts of the chart has a similar nature. Let’s examine Echo conjunct ten planets, angles and the North Node. With asteroids, the orbs must be very close. With a conjunction, one can extend to two degrees. I extend to three degrees, sometimes However, some astrologers, only, accept EXACT conjunctions. In other aspects, such as trines, squares, sextiles and the quincunx, the orb must be smaller than the conjunction. I am going to be dealing with the conjunctions, only, in this article. If not, the article gets too wordy. 1. Echo Conjunct the Ascendant
This native may have been the shy girl who sits alone in the lunch room while the other girls are chatting up a storm. This aspect may confer an insecurity about offering one’s opinion before it is “sanitized” by the group. People respect someone who will reveal an authentic self. Herein lies the problems of Echo, through no fault of her own. 2. Echo Conjunct the Sun This native may hold back until others share/play/offer their intellectual hand, to use a poker reference. In other words, in a corporate board meeting, he may not offer an opinion until there is general consensus. The term”azz kisser” may be applied to him. However, it is a function of insecurity, rather than malice. 3. Echo Conjunct Mercury This native may not KNOW her own mind. We do not struggle with these hard issues because we are “bad”. We struggle with them because they are chart energies. Everyone has struggles. FACING our struggles is the mark of courage. Denying them is the mark of cowardice. I should tattoo this on my chest, along with “WHAT IS THE ORB?” 4. Echo Conjunct the Descendant This native may want to be the boss and look for partners who will allow it. 5. Echo Conjunct Saturn This is mine at 2 degrees. That which conjuncts Saturn, we struggle to express. If you asked me what was one of my greatest personal desires, I would say that it is to find and express my authentic voice. 6. Echo conjunct Jupiter That which conjuncts Jupiter puts it on steroids. I love to use present day applications 😀 This native may be a Super Echo. Echo Conjunct the IC This native may have not been able to express herself in childhood. 8. Echo Conjunct the MC This native may be known as someone without a defined sense of self. Think of Woody Allen’s movie, “Zelig.” 9 Echo conjunct the North Node This native will have the Echo Theme as one of his life Themes. That which conjuncts the NN becomes an automatic Life Theme 10. Echo conjunct the Moon This native may really struggle to know what he feels. Very sad! ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? I did not add it because I was not sure, M. What do you think? Usually, Pluto POWERS UP what it touches. I have it conjunct deja and I am super strong about not letting anyone bully me, except my mother, but that is a whole other story lol I would say that it would make you strong about your opinions and willing to risk disapproval for being different.------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Wow thanks for this! I have Echo square Moon and I often do struggle to express how I feel because my moon is Aries but my rising sign and Sun sign are both Earth signs and so , I don't want to appear like I'm too hot headed and so I try to lessen it but it still comes out all wrong so I just really stopped trying to control how it comes out and just let it come out but I'm not mean or hurtful to others. You might just hear me screaming into a pillow, or kicking the grass lol and walking off angrily but that's only when I'm SUPER angry.IP: Logged |

Question: If a man's Echo conjuncts his Juno (1 degree difference), this means he cannot define what they want in a marriage/life partner, correct? I also happen to have my own Echo conjunct his Narcissus exactly. I can't figure him out, and it's a longsuffering experience.IP: Logged |

GREAT question, S. I would say that that would be a big conclusion for one aspect. I think it would do this, yes, BUT it is one small asteroid conjunction and asteroid conjunctions are not as important as planet/ asteroid or angle/asteroid, so you would have to be very careful on basing a "whole person" on one rather small part of the chart. ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Echo conj NarcissusIs this is the natal? I think you said yes. I have not seen this, so am not sure how it would play out. They are kind of opposites, so I would need YOU to tell me your opinion. When I write about things, I have dealt with them, in most cases. Sometimes, I speculate on things on which I have a high degree of certainty, as to how they will play out in another situation, but I have not seen this and am not sure, my Friend. ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? The most prominent experience that stands out is the feeling that he doesn't see or hear what I say or do, because he is always absorbed in other things. Even forgets my name and face if he's not putting his mind towards interacting with me. I've also been called an admirer by one of his friends; really needled my pride IP: Logged |

Echo conjunct JupiterSometimes I talk and no one seems to hear me, it's as if I said nothing. I don't think it affects my personality that much, however. Just a glitch I deal with. IP: Logged |

Echo is not so much that others do not listen. It is more that the person is very approval seeking.------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Why would that be the case?Mark Andrew Holmes: quote: Astrologically, asteroid Echo seems to indicate to stand by (Damien Foor); on standby, to echo, to be talkative, gossiping, reverberance, reflexively or mindlessly following or concurring (being a "dittohead"), to gang up on; possibly, being repetitive, things that exploit the phenomenon of echoing such as sonar and radar, resonant..
http://markandrewholmes.com/echo-a.html "Dittohead" I don't see myself this way. I'm talkative (out of bounds Gemini Mars) but not a joiner. My Aqua Mercury is square Uranus, I'm going to say unusual things that others haven't thought about.

Interesting, I have this asteroid conjuct Neptune, in my 11th/12th house. I'm quite opinionated in group settings though.. However, I'm quite talkative and gossipy, lol!IP: Logged |

I would say that's true. Sometimes my strong opinions can get me in trouble though and my different nature can be off putting. But I would also like to say that I give a voice to trauma, I voice mine and want to help others with theirs. That is why we get along so well, M. You have to FACE yourself before you can truly help others. If not, it is just happy talk.------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/
