Yeah me to, how close is yours? Mine is 3 degree's so quite far for a fixed star, but it's Sirius we're talking about :P I put alot of importance on Sirius as it's the sun of our sun, and sun translates to soul, i see it as the spiritual centre of the chart, where our Sun is like the ego and dynamic centre ------------------ Correlations of ancient astronomy and astrology. Mine is exactly 1 degree.I wish it (and the other big fixed stars) were discussed more. I have quite a few "odd" placements in my chart and it's always hard to find information on them. Being on the ASC, I feel like it'd mean that we embody Sirius somehow. Lately I've been wondering if it means leadership. Despite my quiet disposition, I usually get chosen or volunteered to lead in things (mostly involving teaching others how to do something.) My ASC is also tightly conjunct Chiron however (and therefore, Sirius), so that could be it. IP: Logged |

Yeah i would go with leadership as a good example. Chiron/Sirius/asc sounds like you'd make a good teacher.
Sirius is nearly always symbolised as a wolf, so it could be related to instincts? I see the word "shining" alot when i learn about sirius ... <3

I read that people with Sirius in the 8th house are ment to be very famous after death. Two people i know are Justin Bieber, and a friend of the family called John the Badger. You can see why that would relate with Justin. My friend John is a great inspiration teacher of higher wisdom, he has a Sagittarius stellium in the first house with Moon conjunct Uranus in Leo in the ninth. I can see why he would get great fame after death also, has helped many people including me with what he calls a trial of manhood. ------------------ Correlations of ancient astronomy and astrology. I think looking at it esoterically or even scientifically, Sirius is the sun of our Sun, so where Sirius is in the chart is the real centre of the chart. It may not be as shining or bright as the Sun, but definitely more symbolic in terms of leadership and spirituality. ------------------ Correlations of ancient astronomy and astrology.
