talk that aims to charm, pleasantly flatter, or persuade: "he had the “street charm” of an Irish politician, but this blarney concealed his inner self" influence or persuade (someone) using charm and pleasant flattery. So if this is YOU or someone you know well, some public person that comes to mind, Where is Blarney in the chart?? In other words is this asteroid usable by the standard definition of the word or for LUCK,, as in kissing that stone. Its heliocentric north node is 29cn and it shares that spot with Pholus. ------------------ LeekingChee IP: Logged |

First thing I think of when I hear the word Blarney is my father. His great-grandparents are from County Cork (where the castle is) and I grew up looking at a black & white photo of him kissing the Blarney Stone. Blarney's HNN @ 29 Cancer is conjunct my 0 Leo Saturn Rx. I went to the castle but wouldn't kiss the stone, preferred to linger in the backyard ... Mine is at 17.32 Virgo, forming a t-square with my father's Blarney @ 18 Sag & my 18 Pisces moon. No "hits" for the negative meaning of Blarney, not that I can think of. * Unless you look at "street charm" negatively....I guess I could do that in a pinch...Blarney opp moon. IP: Logged |

I have BLARNEY on 5 Cancer in 7th house exact conjunct EXCALIBUR and opposing Venus on 6 Cap. I am certainly not a charming persuasive person, but I remember some occasions in school when I really wanted something (like getting my schoolmates to give pretty much all or most of the money we were making from some fleamarket away for a charity caring for children who were having cancer, which I had just read about before and totally shocked me - I had to have a little speech in class as my classteacher said since I wanted that, I would need to convince the others - and apparently I did. We gave more than half of it away to that charity. I guess Blarney conjunct Excalibure helped ) P has Blarney on 26 Aries (right on his Venus-Juno-mp No I will SO not go there interpretationwise. lol) But it also squares his Venus and Juno (his charm might fail with wife and lover I suppose. lol) But it also trines his Sun on 26 Sag and Moon and MC on 28 SAg, so that`s supportive. Quinkunx his Saturn-DSC looks decidely more difficult. So I guess he can easily use it in public (he remarked how lucky he was with the first auditions, getting into theatre school with practially no experience under his belt, no real money, no theatrical background, nothing, just went there and gave it a try - while most of the others had trained for this for YEARS in advance. HE just gave it a try and was accepted immediately. lol)

My husband has it conjuncting exact his IC.Albert Einstein has Blarny trine his northnode exact and sextile his southnode so Blarney is the point of thales of his nodes. I feel he had charm evidenced by his pictures specially that one with his tongue sticking out. Colin Donnell which if you see him acting on the first season of Arrow has this very charming thing going on like charm just flows out of him, he has Blarney conjunct his Pluto exact and his Saturn under 3d. Stephen Amell (the arrow) gives the impression of someone who can turn on the charm as needed and he has Blarney conjunct Lucifer sextile JUPITER. Cosby whom I always felt was super charming and was in shock when I heard about the accusations has Blarney conjuncting exact my SUN. He has: Blarney in Virgo @28d13 Sextile his Pluto in Cancer @28d03 He charmed the masses... Justin Chatwin, very charming actor, see him being very Blarney like in the first season of Shameless USA. He has Blarney conjunct Venus by 3d and conjunct his Sun by less than 4d. The last guy I had a crush on who was a charming prosecutor has Blarney sextile his Sun-Mars-Moon by about 2d. His Blarney trined my sun under 1d. A very charming client of mine has Blarney opposite Uranus exact. His brother also very charming has Blarney conjunct Skuld sextile Mercury. Another client very charming has Blarney opposite exact Werdandi and this squares by less than 2d her Mars. My best friend form high school who I thought had everyone in the palm of her hand had Sun trine Blarney by 1d. Her Blarney conjuncted my Psyche, I saw right through it.

OJ Simpson has Blarney sextile under 1d his Mars-Cybele conjunction. His time of birth is known. What I find more intriguing in his chart is the location of his nessus. His NESSUS is in Taurus @10d42 and: Squares his Saturn in Leo @9d01 Squares his Pluto in Leo @12d10 Trines his Lucifer in Virgo @9d56 Trines his Vertex in Cappricorn @12d17 (So he has a Grand trine between Nessus-Lucifer-Vertex) Inconjuncts his Ixion in Libra @11d14 But this in combo with what I see in their composite and davison blows my mind, by the way Nichole has Sun conjunct Nessus. The following caught my attention about their composites: Davison Nessus in Taurus @17d35 Cybele in Taurus @17d55 Sextile Uranus in Cancer @17d06 Inconjunct Ixion in Libra @16d57 They have a Grand Trine between Dejanira-Mercury-Lucifer (merc rules their AC and IC). ***The Midpoint is even more intriguing with all the stuff at 17d:***
Cybele in Taurus @15d58 Nessus in Taurus @17d53 Mercury in Gemini @17d41 (AC and IC ruler) Uranus in Cancer @18d01 Karma in Virgo @17d27 Ixion in Libra @17d06 Atropos in Libra @17d22 Vertex in Scorpio @17d00 If you have any insight about the 17d please share.... BTW her time of birth is also known. So they have Nessus semisextile Mercury, sextile uranus, trine Karma, inconjunct Ixion-Atropos and opposite Vertex in Scorpio. Composite Nessus activates a lot! including their AC and IC ruler. They have in composite also Sun conjunct Lucifer and composite Dejanira squares their AC/DC angle. The day she died they had a composite Sun Return and Transit Mars and Transit Lucifer were right on composite NESSUS-CYBELE. In Davidson they had a Sun, Moon and Mercury Return going on.

HELIO, HELIO , HELIO 17 TA AND SC are the helio nodes of Mercury and the aphelia of Neptune. any geo point conjunct a helio point is a kicker. So his geo Jupiter which trines Sun, magnifies what Mercury and Neptune 17 scorpio is the node of Actor,, SO he thought he could act and fool all with rx Jupiter there, IN HELIO Mars and Chiron oppo 10 minutes. Saturn in Helio with its Geo,...Helio node of Neptune.and error , edit tired brain Above you did not mention Priapus, but I guess it depends on which one you are using.conjunct Sun. in Helio Nessus is 9ta11/ so a T with Mars and Chiron, and exactly at the south helio node of 1031 Arctica. Helio Karma at node of Chiron, Chiron at node of Neurotic asteroid SAPPHO(NOT just for Lesbians). In the Geo apophis is conjunct Bella, and in helio Sappho is conjunct Bella. , The saturn and pluto conjunction is closer in Helio and at the nodes of KAALI ALSO. In Helio Thisbe is exactly at the asc degree, but need to find a geo asteroid there to tie it up/ anyway this makes me eager to get through all the Helio nodes by degree list. It does make sense for you, hypatia, the pleasant talking & charm. I don't see you using flattery in a conniving way, ever, though. (But hey what does it matter what I think, I have Blarney sorta completing a grand cross with my moon, Mars & Neptune...but no really...I'm capable of sincerity! Honest. ) IP: Logged |

hahahaha Thanks Faith! I am glad it comes across online too . I think since I have Sag rising and you have venus in Sag that we are big on being genuine when we use flattery. I agree I definitely don't use it in a conniving way, I just like to uplift people and make them feel comfortable and accepted around me. I use it to increase my bond with others but I mean what I say! I don't lie; compliments are very genuine. IP: Logged |

Holy Cow Faith this is super weird! My maternal great-grandfather is from County Cork Ireland by the Castle and my Grandpa talks about it all the time. Anyhoo, I have Blarney conjunct Venus exact. That explains so many things haha, I'm quite charming when I want to be, especially when speaking.
