Are there such things as midpoints for Asteroids? For example, is there an Eros/Aphrodite midpoint? And is it a good thing, as it seems it might be, to place your Mars on it in synastry?

There are midpoints for asteroids. I sometimes check my midpoints with different asteroids just to see what they are.

I use the Ebertin chart (w. midpoints) PDF file from astro.com. It encodes the asteroids into symbols. So far I haven't had the patience to match the symbols to the asteroid names.

But it's an interesting idea, especially for event charts.

Hmmm...thanks for this idea, now I have research to do later.

Faith,

same here. Was always too lazy.

So I missed all the time that my Moon is conjunct his Sun/Ceres, Moon/Ceres and Venus/Eros- and Uranus/Chiron-mp.

oh and you made me look up the midpoints on the "pancake-event"

there were some interesting conjunctions and oppositions that day, too.

Sun conjunct Jupiter (3)
Moon conjunct Saturn (0)
Sun conjunct Vertex (2)
Sun conjunct Eros (1)
Pluto conjunct ASC (2)
Neptune opposite Cupido (1)
Lilith conjunct NN (1)
Chiron opposite Juno (0 - the tightest aspect that day)
Eros conjunct Vertex (1)

As for direct midpoints I just focused on those with Ceres

Sun = SN/Ceres 0°13

Moon = Lilith/Ceres 0°16

Mercury = Ceres / IC 0°16

Venus = Neptune/Ceres 0°54

Saturn = Ceres/Node 0°26
Saturn = Ceres/Lilith 0°25

Neptune = Uraus/Ceres 0°13

Ceres = Mars/DESC 0°42
Ceres = NN / IC 0°35

Vertex = Ceres/Amor 0°44

Eros = SN /Ceres 0°56
Eros = Amor/Ceres 0°53

However I think it might make even more sense to check what natal midpoints are triggered by transiting planets, cause an event chart pretty much is valid for every one (except for those midpoints related to the angles, but even those would be valid for all at the same location; in the event I just mentioned there were of course more people present, so this could have related to anyone in that room. Why it related mostly to me, well I suppose there are reasons, maybe the fact that Tr Venus was opposing my Moon, which is tied to his Sun/Ceres, Moon/Ceres and Ceres/MC-midpoint is one factor in these.)
