There is an asteroid number 814 TAURIS. Tauris is a form of the English name Taurus. I was wondering if anyone found significant placements with this asteroid that correspond to the sign Taurus. In transit it was just conjunct my Taurus POM, opposite my natal Tauris in 5H conjunct Vx. The transit seemed to trigger a renewed association with my Ex, who is a double (Sun-Moon) Taurus. I found that interesting. IP: Logged |

In transit it is conjunct my Ex's Natal Sun, which he has as the apex of his Jupiter-Saturn Yod, which is conjunct Algol, btw. Transit is conjunct our composite Ascendant. My Ex also has his Mercury minutes away from 0 degrees Taurus. He is soooooo typically Taurus in his mannerisms, thinking, to his own detriment. IP: Logged |

I have this asteroid conjunct my Sun, and I certainly don't seem very Taurean at all. I am quite Aquarian, not to mention have it all mixed in with Pluto at that, so I'm not too sure :/------------------ Aquarius Sun, Merc, Venus, Uranus, Neptune Scorpio Mars conj. Asc in First 8th House Moon opposite Pluto, Trine Uranus Have you caught onto the predicament I'm in yet? IP: Logged |

The only significant thing I could find with Tauris was its conjunction to my boyfriend's North Node. I am a Taurus Sun with Tauris in 1st house. Actually, come to think of it, Tauris squares my Midheaven too.IP: Logged |

Wasn`t Tauris the island Iphigenie ended up, after he father sacrificed her (and she was being rescued by Diana)? IP: Logged |

BTW My Tauris is on 19 SCorpio (exact on P`s Valentine. lol)and 4 degrees off his Uranus his Tauris is on 00 Scorpio, close to my Uranus.
which means of course composite Tauris is 10 Scorpio 2 degrees off Uranus and his nameasteroid
whatever Tauris means, it seems to be defining in our composite, being conjunct chartruler. IP: Logged |

Im thinking I should look up the mythology of TAURIS. ... A place in Greece in a peninsula where savage natives worshiped Artemis (Roman Diana), virgin goddess of the hunt and fertility, expert archer. Ceri, I read the account of the abduction and rescue. IP: Logged |

Well, I guess the asteroid could have something to do with raw auto-animalistic behavior and emphasis on the family dynamic nurturing offspring?IP: Logged |

Fascinating. I love that there is an asteroid called Tauris... Been thinking how Taurus sounds a bit like Tao lately. I know that's a stretch, but the Taurean principles of simplicity and such seem in keeping with taoist teachings a bit... Anyway point is My Tauris 3 Gemini, conjunct my Jupiter (1 degree), Angel and Vertex. This makes so much sense in the context of my chart.... my Jupiter is retrograde and by secondary progression is now in Taurus and will be for the rest of my life I believe. My Taurus stellium lover boy has Tauris on his most quintissential Taurus point, 17 degrees Taurus, conjunct his East Point (And my West Point). IP: Logged |

Our composite Taurus is at 25 Taurus conjunct his Chiron. Our Davison Tauris is 21 Scorpio, conjunct my Sun. We go camping on islands and both are into archery as well as having a very prominent composite Diana (conjunct Moon and Vertex and Amor), and natally we both have strong Artemis and Diana as well. Basically we are in love with nature, and Diana/Artemisesque everything. His Artemis opposite my SunMoon midpoint, Davison Artemis conjunct his SunMoon midpoint... etc. ... Fascinating love this one!!! Love love Tauris
