My last name Ramirez also conjuncts this. It squares my nodes in the 4th house exact. That's pretty much all the aspects it makes to my knowledge.

yeah it is a hard one. Not really Ami its strange because my last name "Ramirez" is conjunct my Anti-Vertex and Atropos in libra in the 1st house. And i would think that there would be sudden deaths to my family and i haven't had any. The only death in my family was my step grandfather and i' m not even related to him biologically. However i knew that he was going to die before the rest of my family knew. But that's about it.

my girlfriend's ASC is conjunct this and i have a feeling that possibly we will not survive as a couple but i have felt that with every person i've dated but here we are today still together.

I think maybe this has to be connected to new beginnings perhaps? i can see that.

Again, Its squares my Nodes & Asteroid Icarus in the 4th house in capricorn.

there are changes yes but not a lot and suddenly yes. i can see that but not really in my family. i don't get sudden changes with my family a lot its strange.

Also Atropos can also mean fated things in inescapable developments happening when triggered. it is not ALWAYS about death (though it does appear often in death charts prominent, but sodoes Jupiter).

I have also seen it often in marriage charts when the status inevitably and irreversibly changed.

Maybe that is a good way to put it. when ATropos hits or cuts the thread, the door to the past is closed (or to something at least), there is no going back but only forwards anymore. The change is ultimate, final, somehow, splitting even a life into before and after, potentially at least.

my pr ATROPOS was applying to conjunct my n CERES (bit more than 1 degree), when I enrolled with Weight Watchers. Seems random, but it wasn`t. It marked a complete change in my life. It was a decision, and it meant a strong cut of my past and especially it meant taking responsibility or living my life, actively.

I stepped through that door and never looked back. There WAS no way back after that.

Same feeling I got when I met MR Sag

It was a split of my life in THEN and NOW.

When we met my pr Atropos was conjunct my natal Pholus exact (it was a total surprise and overwhelming as well and I nver could foresee the consequences) and square my ASC.
- interestingly enough his and my pr Psyche were conjunct his pr Eros on the same degree, plus my transiting name was there squaring his transiting name falling onto my DESC exact-

Tr Atropos was opposite my n Pluto exact, too (ruler of my 12th - and 11th: cutting of the past)

my pr Venus-Mercury-Avx were all conjunct my natal Atropos, with Transiting NEptune-Chiron-NN conjunct my natal Atropos as well.

Yes it was THAT significant.
To be honest though the night after meeting him I honestly thought I was dying. And something did irreversibly shift (into place). Even though I couldn`t really handle it back then.

Thanks Cerdiwen you helped me understand Atropos very much. The examples you listed really helped me too on how to identify this. Do you see the anti vertex as me contributing my own fate? Cause I'm a believer that vertex is "others" inputing your fate. However I could be wrong because I understand how transit vertex works but having hard time what happens when the natal vertex gets activated.

For example the day my girlfriend got denied for visa. Transit vertex in Gemini in the 8th conjunct her natal Chiron in the 9th house and square her nodes in the 6th house. She was deeply hurt that day and so was I.

Last night I was performing and I looked at the transit I felt very depressed I felt like I couldn't even hear myself sing on stage listen to this! Transit descendant conjunct my natal vertex/Atropos in libra in the 1st house. When that hit I knew the teacher was gonna call my name and say "pat methany group is next!" That was our last performance together as a band and I was sure of it because I'm never gonna take that class again! (Anti vertex conjunct Atropos conjunct transit descendant...??) Hahahha!! Every semester by the end of it we have a performance class where all the performance classes get together and perform one song for the class.

So yeah! Your right! The door from the past (performing with that class for that specific concert) is now closed because I decided that! I decided to not repeat that class again because I did not enjoy it And off to the future! Lol!

But this is probably such a bad example!!

Also transit vertex and transit philomela was conjunct my ascendant square my Mercury which is probably why I felt super ****** singing up there cause I couldn't even hear myself with the monitors on stage. Quite awful! But hey! I was okay I was aware that I would feel this way and it's all good now cause it's over!
