Yes... The thing is, I'm still not sure of the validity of Solar Returns... but the times they did seem to work, the asteroids made a lot of sense.

Yes! All the time! You are welcome to use all asteroids and fixed stars in the solar return but don't forget it's always almost important to compare the solar return to the natal as this can give you some more clues on how your year will look like hope this helped!
