Every since I was introduced to asteroid astrology, I've always wondered how asteroids get their meaning. Do people just slap on god/goddess and it all of a suddenly has a profound meaning? Thanks in advance ;>

I assume that asteroids get their meanings based on what/who they were named after. Overall, however, I'm guessing not much thought is put into the names for them. Most asteroids are likely named after the people that discovered them, but you may be able to get a meaning from those asteroids by studying transits and or aspects involving said asteroids. By looking for a common theme, asteroids can be given certain meanings.
