Anyone got any asteroids, hypotheticals and fixed stars they'd look to that might indicate an extreme shock?

I had two extreme emotional shocks in the space of five hours the other evening - one relating to my job, and the other relating to one of my most important relationships.

Both events were not entirely unexpected, but the timing was so bizarre, that it knocked me for six. I was literally trying to deal with one when I got a message about the other. I've not been able to eat properly since as I'm so overwhelmed - but having to try and carry on as usual.

I've looked at Uranus and Saturn, but nothing is screaming at me, so figured I might plug in some asteroids or other points.

Any thoughts?

So far, I've found Atropos (273) tightly conjunct transiting venus, square my name asteroid.

What would you look for? Thanks in advance

Sorry that happened to you, Stellia.

You weren't the only one.
Remember, that not everything labelled "bad" is bad.
Some things ARE Blessings in disguise... 'or, in da skies???' *mild grin*

I realize you must be feeling really bent-in right now. *bheart*

One door has to close..., which can help inner shift, pivoting your perspective and viewpoint... It settles down, then, the New can appear.

Atropos is one of the door closers so that another can open type-of-transit. That only works WHEN or IF you are DUE (in your life) for that to happen. It doesn't happen with every interaction.

Squares are 'tense' and allows a kind of pent-energy hold releasing. You know that you need to apply brakes when you turn the proverbial corners of life? Helps to regulate the traffic floes, in and out of life's intersections... (traffic-lights).

It's all good... and not to be taken 'so' literally.

PLUTO goes Direct TODAY, Capricorn 16.51 at 3:35 p.m. EDT. (LL-Time).

Stellia... have you ever explored the www.astro.com website options?

Log in to your account first ...

In the Astrodienst section called "Free Horoscopes" .... (put your pointer there) ... you'll see a 'drop window'.

Go the third one down called "Celestial Events" and you can see the various charts for aspects that day (general) and, for your OWN chart aspects. Just click on whatever line they have, the chart gets drawn in a little window.

So, it's been a while, and I've done a lot of digging. Here's what I found.

The biggest influence I can find is transiting neptune and mars opposite each other. Conjunct my Anti-vertex and Vertex, respectively.

By itself, Neptune-Mars suggests ideals (neptune) being shattered (mars), and fears (neptune) being exposed in a confrontation (mars).

The kicker is that these were both square my natal MC-Valentine conjunction. Yep. My Midheaven-Valentine conjunction.

In one day, my boss threatened to start me down towards the path of being fired because of the widespread perception (neptune) that I have a bad attitude and am aggressive (mars).

Hours later, I get a message about my key relationship - a deep friendship with my first and only experience of true unconditional love other than with my son - which effectively annihilated the relationship in an instant in a way that shattered all trust. The secret (neptune) was out (mars on vertex).

At the same time, I looked at the chart of my friend. The venus-atropos conjunction was right on my name asteroid in his chart. Not sure if this is a permanent ending, or more an inevitability, but feels significant.

Furthermore, his natal jupiter - his ruling planet - is closely conjunct my Midheaven-Valentine conjunction, so was also tied up in the tight squares from neptune and mars.

Certainly, the events of that day could have a major impact on his entire life.

Finally, here's one for all you Davison fans. My relationship with this friend took a huge unexpected leap forwards earlier in the summer. On that day, transiting saturn was retrograding over our Davison Juno.

On the day that everything went crazy wrong - transiting saturn crossed back over that juno point. Kind of chilling.

These events had a massive impact on me (my vertex is in my 7th house, by the way), and I don't yet know how they will turn out.

At work, I'm taking a different tack and trying other things. With this key relationship, I believe there is a future that's still to happen. I believe it's critically important for both of us in some way - this is the same person with whom my NN conjuncts his moon, and his NN conjuncts my venus. And in the Davison, the sun and moon are closely conjunct (1degree) - with Atropos tucked in between the two.

Thought you might find it interesting, anyway

If anyone has any other asteroids worth trying please do let me know and I'll test them.

Btw - and my apologies for missing this off before - thanks for the supportive words. I did actually reply to say thanks weeks and weeks back but I lost the draft and then never got a chance to come back in. It was much appreciated though

Thanks Stellia

There's a telescoping-range when trying to work with asteroids.

Sometimes we can 'drill down' too tightly. Draw the focus back to a more overarching view.

Remember, that Atropos is part of a 'group' or team of Fates.

I left this url in another post in Astro2.0. It needs to be here, actually.

Listen to ALL this lecture... Demetra George goes deeply into the philosophy behind 'The Fates'.

I hope you enjoy it. You'll learn a lot in this vid.

Stellia ... I've not seen your natal, so I don't know the zodiac-energies of your chart and asteroids.

I'm so sorry you feel you lost some important relationships. Sometimes, they can and do come back at a later time.

In the mean time, have faith (Neptune) and do (Mars) the best you can to be Good to yourself.

Remember too.....
Don't just look a one single asteroid-- look at the clustering around it. Might provide additional information regarding it.

In my own chart, it's almost spooky how it can define its own self depending on what it connects to.

Valentine isn't just about romance.
Valentine was an alchemist.
Valentine can be someone's last name (like an actor from long time ago named 'Karen Valentine'*).

It's probably a name of a town somewhere, too.

In your lifetime, you might find the one {e.g. Valentine} will be used with all the variants of alternative meanings {a town, a romance, a last name, etc.}

Take the asteroids you are interested in, and do a DEEPER search. Get added 'fullness' for what that asteroid can represent.

Blessings... on my fellow asteroid Lovers and Enthusiasts!!

Thanks all - you're right, lost doesn't always mean lost.

Certainly, the short term loss has forced me to find other ways of coping in this acutely stressful period.

Maybe this was one of the lessons - that I can survive, just, without support; or maybe it was to show me how much this person's support means; or maybe it was to show me that his support was never really there in the first place.

In context, the friend in question is one I work with, who has always been the only person who can calm me when angry or upset. Having to survive this work drama without that has been doubly hard. It's like being pushed out of an aeroplane without a parachute.

I will watch that piece at some point - thanks - and will continue to drill into these themes

Thanks mirage29. Plugged it in. Right now, transiting Aeneas is almost exactly conjunct my natal Saturn (within two minutes). Which means a few days ago, it was conjunct my buddy's natal Mars and Venus conjunction.

Last Thursday, we had a conversation approximating the kind of chats we used to have. It was nice 😊

Different to how it was still, but like a new normal.

Unrelated to this situation, but still interesting. My ex was born a few days before me, so his Saturn is a degree from mine. The other day, we both went to our son's Christmas play, and then took him to the pub for tea.

It's the first time since I left him nearly a year ago that we spent civil time together for our son. Interesting in light of Aeneas, perhaps 😊
