if u want to make an ephemeride for an object that doesn't have a "number" yet, here's how u do it go to https://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/sbdb.cgi?under "search" u type in the object name for example"2015 RR245" then u will see the word "ephemeris" at the top left of the page, hit it. that will take u to the "horizons" page, there u change the table setting to "31" to give u the ecliptic number which will be in "360" degree notation,,270=capricorn and u obviously change the time settings for what period u want. u can only go back to 1600 ad if u want to go back further, check out http://expreso.co.cr/centaurs/ for "riyal" software, i have it and use it often good luck

also positions for comets can be done a new comet coming up is "C/2017 O1"

about once a week i check out http://www.ast.cam.ac.uk/~jds/ for recent comets. my limit there is mag 8 as mentioned before somewhere if u want the positions for all stars and galaxies,etc buy guide 9 software, i have guide 5 and 9 under $100 i think https://www.projectpluto.com/
