I actually just came directly to the asteroid page in hope to see a thread about this. I’m hoping we’ll figure out more about it!

Hi Jim!

Saw that one. There was an article I clicked to from my Yahoo news.

After reading it, I thought about the way they name and give meaning to some of these asteroids.

It is nearly conjunct Chiron in Pisces right now.

It was the discovery of Chiron Nov 1977 (shaped like a Key) 'entering' into our solar system, that occurred during a time where we 'unlocked' the further understanding about our planets (and planetoids)-- not just astrologically, but with Hubble about to be launched in those days.

(I know, because I was in college, taking a non-math astro-physics course a few years before then. My professor had written the text book we used in class, on BlackHoles and Quasars.
He left his post at the University, to seize an invitation to go WORK on the Hubble.

Just look at what Hubble presents for us today!!!!.... omg, Just wants to make me cry. So wonderful.)

So. *ahem*

'Oumuamua at 23 Pisces, in conjunction to t Chiron Pisces

They/you say "Cigar" shaped?

Do you think we can s t r e t c h its meaning to relate to Cuba, and Castro, and 'dictatorial personalities', Wall-building, Weather-events, earthquakes volcanos destruction...
and the things that HAVE been happening in the Gulf of Mexico, including Islands in that bracketed span of latitudes?

I heard the words 'Pineapple Express' weather system that came in via the Western coast of USA...

I think that term was used in an article reference TO the Hawaiian asteroids (if I am remembering correctly?).

Neptune Pisces has been relating to stories there too--- oil rigs, Compassionate efforts with earth-events/weather-events.

... news about drug(!) cartels,
pharmaceutical company RIP-OFFS.. price gouging causing Victims(nep) and Deaths of individuals (all life spans) whose lives COULD have been saved with needed-pharmaceuticals???

We need to turn Oumuamua into a DART--
to 'pop' some of greedy-profiteers
who BALLOON the prices in our economies, reducing or prohibiting the ability to help others, as well as our selves.

Or...... *creepy music* .....

Could it be a symbol of 'the stylus'?

The pen, pencil. An electronic tech-device pointer/drawer.

Is that GOD's tool????
Again,
The 'Writing on The Wall' these days?...
(Looks like a stylus)

I remember some of the Hawaiian asteroids, and some of their discoveries.

On January 17, 2012,
I purchased a really Beautiful book on asteroids and tno's ...

(topic) The story of 'Oumuamua, the first visitor from another star system (Karen J. Meech, TED, posted July 19, 2018) [13:24] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfi3w9Bzwik

yt notes, quote--
In October 2017, astrobiologist Karen J. Meech got the call every astronomer waits for:
NASA had spotted the very first visitor from another star system.
The interstellar comet -- a half-mile-long object eventually named `Oumuamua, from the Hawaiian for "scout" or "messenger" -- raised intriguing questions:
Was it a chunk of rocky debris from a new star system, shredded material from a supernova explosion, evidence of alien technology or something else altogether?
In this riveting talk, Meech tells the story of how her team raced against the clock to find answers about this unexpected gift from afar.

Hi Moon Mystic

4644 Oumu
- http://minorplanetcenter.net/db_search/show_object?object_id=4644

(4644) Oumu = 1990 SR3 = 1951 GC = 1982 UA2 = 1985 JF2 = 1989 HE
**Discovered at Kitami on 1990-09-16**
by A. Takahashi and K. Watanabe.
(4644) Oumu = 1990 SR3

Named for a town, noted for its fishing industry,
situated on the Sea of Okhotsk some 50 km of Kitami.

Comet 'Oumuamua
- http://solarsystem.nasa.gov/asteroids-comets-and-meteors/comets/oumuamua/in-depth/
"The first known interstellar object to visit our solar system,
1I/2017 U1 ‘Oumuamua,
was **discovered Oct. 19, 2017**
by the University of Hawaii’s Pan-STARRS1 telescope.
. . .
“For decades we’ve theorized that such interstellar objects are out there, and now¯for the first time¯we have direct evidence they exist,” said Thomas Zurbuchen, associate administrator for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate in Washington, in November 2017.
. . .
“This unusually big variation in brightness means that the object is highly elongated: about ten times as long as it is wide, with a complex, convoluted shape,” said Meech. “We also found that it had a reddish color, similar to objects in the outer solar system, and confirmed that it is completely inert, without the faintest hint of dust around it.”

These properties suggest that ‘Oumuamua is dense, composed of rock and possibly metals, has no water or ice, and that its surface was reddened due to the effects of irradiation from cosmic rays over hundreds of millions of years.
A few large ground-based telescopes continued to track the fading object as it receded from our planet. Two of NASA’s space telescopes (Hubble and Spitzer) tracked the object traveling about 85,700 miles per hour (38.3 kilometers per second) relative to the Sun. Its outbound path is about 20 degrees above the plane of planets that orbit the Sun.
The object passed Mars’s orbit around Nov. 1 and
will pass Jupiter’s orbit in May of 2018.
It will travel beyond Saturn’s orbit in January 2019;
as it leaves our solar system, ‘Oumuamua will head for the constellation Pegasus.

Preliminary orbital calculations suggest that the object came from the approximate direction of the bright star Vega, in the northern constellation of Lyra.

However, it took so long for the interstellar object to make the journey¯even at the speed of about 59,000 miles per hour (26.4 kilometers per second)¯that Vega was not near that position when the ‘Oumuamua was there about 300,000 years ago. !!

Astronomers estimate that an interstellar object similar to ‘Oumuamua passes through the inner solar system about once per year,
but they are faint and hard to spot and have been missed until now.

It is only recently that survey telescopes,
such as Pan-STARRS1,
are powerful enough to have a chance to discover them.

… the Pan-STARRS team dubbed it

‘Oumuamua.. which is Hawaiian for
a messenger from afar arriving first.”

Bjorkstrand might know if Astrodienst gave this object a number.
