Hey everybody,

Currently, my favorite subjects in astrology are asteroids and the Golden Aspects. The Golden Aspects are a coherent set of 'alternative' aspects, all based on the Golden Ratio. They were pioneered by Theodor Landscheidt. (Full disclosure: i have asteroids Fibonacci, JPL and Astrocourier conjunct Mercury.)

I think i may have come up with an interesting new technique to get some more 'mileage' from asteroids with the help of Golden Aspects. I want to invite you to check for yourself if you think this technique is good enough to be considered by more users besides myself. If you want, you can send me your date/place of birth and i'll give you your personal statistics according to the method explained below. Or you can also easily replicate it in your own software. It probably takes about 10 minutes to create the 14 Golden Aspects as custom aspects.

So here's the basic idea:

- take 30 asteroids related to character traits and 'life in general'.
- use the Golden Aspects to measure which asteroids are most/least 'influential' in a chart.

These are the 14 Golden Aspects i use, as given by Landscheidt (orb = 1 degree):

21,25° | 34,38° | 42,49° | 47,51° | 55,62° | 68,75° | 84,98° | 111,25° | 124,38° | 132,49° | 137,51° | 145,62° | 158,75° | 174,98°

And below is the list of asteroids i chose, ordered by number. What you see behind each asteroid is my own personal natal 'score'.

What this says most clearly is that i'm a very constant person (Constantia) and that i'm not really rich (low score for Abundantia) :-)

fortuna 5
fides 5
laetitia 3*
harmonia 7
concordia 6
felicitas 6
ate 4
abundantia 2*
arete 5
sophia 9*
justitia 3*
philagoria 6
sapientia 5
felicia 4
unitas 7
constantia 12*
amicitia 7
modestia 4
industria 4
hybris 4
patientia 5
prudentia 5
veritas 6
virtus 7
fidelio 6
perseverantia 5
hilaritas 3*
fanatica 6
melancholia 4
compassion 3*

So how do you calculate this score? Very simple. You look at the aspect grid and simply count the number of aspects per asteroid. That's all, couldn't be more simple.

My interpretation of this is that Golden Aspects can say something about the relative strength of an object, as opposed to the regular aspects, which all have their own specific meanings. I wrote a lengthy piece about it here, using planets instead of asteroids http://www.dubbhism.org/2017/12/in-sky-how-to-interpret-golden-aspects.html

So what i would like to know is this: i'm pretty confident myself that this method works, at least good enough to investigate it some more. I would really appreciate to hear from others if they think this is a valid approach or not.

Greetings!
