So I've been doing a little bit of research on asteroids named after places...

My dad is from New Zealand, and my "New Zealand" asteroid (386622) is conjunct his Sun, in my 2nd house in Pisces.

My boyfriend is from Humboldt, and the asteroid Humboldt (4877) is in his 4th house closely conjunct his Venus and trine his Ascendant within 2 degrees.

Asteroid California (341) is in his 4th house conjunct his Neptune, Uranus and Mercury in Capricorn.
In my chart, California is in my 8th house conjunct my Sun in Libra by 2 degrees.

Are there any special asteroids named after places in your chart??

I'm from the United States.

I put in America (916). It's painful for me to live in this country at times, because I don't feel like an American. The problem is probably that America is multi-cultural and I don't have specific ties to any of the cultures on this planet. Honestly, at times, I barely feel like a human being.

Chiron in Leo in 9th house makes a square to America in Taurus in late 5th house. The orb is between 3 and 4 degrees. Normally, no one would count this aspect, because the orb is a bit wide. However, contrary to what the orb suggests, I assure you that this aspect is actually within orb. America has deeply wounded me over and over and over and over with its healthcare system, its education system, its government, its food, and the list goes on and on. America (916) makes other aspects in my chart that are tighter than the square. For some reason, America makes mostly easy aspects. The square is the only hard aspect I'd say is within orb.

I'm not sure what asteroid I'd use for any other location. Not all states have asteroids. The only other country with any amount of significance in my life would be Japan, because I regularly enjoy its fiction and I'm legitimately a fan of Japanese culture, except some of Japan's more extreme cultural values. Surprisingly, I didn't find an asteroid for "Tokyo" and I know asteroids have been named after other places in Japan. No asteroid has been named "Japan" either. I looked for an asteroid named after Egypt too since I also love reading about Egypt's cultural history. There is no asteroid named after Egypt.

So far, I'm unaware of any other country being of significance in my chart, but admittedly, the Internet being what it is allows me to become friends with people in foreign countries. I'm not sure how many of my friends are from countries that have an asteroid though.

Thanks mirage29 for pointing out Aotearoa, I checked that in mine and my dad's charts as well and his is in Capricorn sextile his Sun and Moon in Pisces. Mine is in my 12th house in Capricorn, JUST before my Ascendant by one degree. Weird!! I do plan on moving there someday and hopefully spending my last days there as well...
His New Zealand asteroid is conjunct his Saturn in Pisces by 1 degree, mine is inconjunct my Sun exactly.

Hi and Welcome Astroflower
That's interesting that your Sun and hometown name asteroid lined up together.
The place you first shined!

I have La Canada on my NN in H1.
It's part of my identity (H1) as
all four of my grandparents were born there,
then moved to USA for work opportunities, during the Industrial Revolution in America in the early 1900s.

thanx mirage29. I have been long-time lurker, just now deciding to respond on this site.

Thats so cool that Canada worked for you. it obviously has ancestral meaning to your life.

And I laughed when I saw my hometown on my sun....just coincidence...I think not.
