What is Chiron exactly? Pain? How you deal with pain or trauma? How does sign and house placement or aspects play out for you?

Please tell me any experiences with your Chiron.

The mystery of chiron. It is suppose to be the wounded healer, it is suppose to facilitate healing by forcing you to feel the emotions you normally repress and dissociate from. Chiron transits comes along and brings those emotions and pain to the surface so you can finally feel that pain and then free yourself from it. You must feel the pain in order to heal.

Chiron's discory chart has sun in scorpio conjunct exalted uranus in scorpio. Moon at home in cancer conjunct exalted jupiter in Cancer with persona moon also in cancer and Venus in libra at home conjunct Pluto. The moon in cancer square the nodes including pluto conjunct NN so there is also moon square pluto in this discovery.

^Chiron feels VERY DEEPLY. You will not be able to not feel your emotions when chiron hits your chart, you will be forced to feel things deeply but transformation will be the result once you do.

It has Pluto conjunct Northnode in the discovery chart so transformation is the end goal with chiron, the moon in cancer squares the nodes in the discovery chart so you will not be able to skip feeling your emotions with chiron, you will feel them deeply and the end goal is transformation which I feel happens with the power of love since pluto also conjuncts venus.

Thank you Hypatia238! So it is a healer and doesn’t represent your wounds? If someone aspects your Chiron will they help you heal? What if your Chiron is in the 12th house? Does this mean Chiron is repressed and you will not heal past wounds - just repress them?

I've heard Chiron described as the wound that never heals.

In my chart, Chiron is in Leo in 9th house. My self-esteem used to be terrible and I've struggled with huge self-worth and self-confidence issues, which could be indicated by Chiron in Leo.

Chiron in 9th house probably relates to my inability to travel long distances or really at all. No one believes me when I say this, but it really isn't a good idea for me to drive. I'm not able to remember how to get anywhere and I don't know if a GPS system is good enough, let alone if I can even afford a car to begin with. Within recent months, I have been able to learn how to get to some places in town. This could mean eventually I'll be able to drive, but that remains to be seen.

I think sometimes it's true that the Chiron wound never heals. Some people would rather learn to live with the wound instead of healing it, because not everyone can cope with the pain that Chiron brings. On the other hand, healing from your Chiron wounds is definitely possible.

In my chart, Chiron makes a quincunx with the North Node, a semi-sextile with Jupiter and my Midheaven, a trine with Mars, and a square with Venus.

Jupiter semi-sextile Chiron - This aspect is most likely why some people think I make certain things a bigger deal than they truly are. Jupiter expands the influence of Chiron, and as a result, my pain is often much, much deeper than other people realize or even understand. I have Moon in Gemini though, which means sometimes I move on and change the topic at random.

Mars trine Chiron - This aspect is the widest of the aspects I listed. The other aspects are much tighter and this one has an orb of 4 degrees. I'm listing this one, because dealing with some of my Chiron wounds has made me tougher, stronger, and more resilient. I often bounce back from pain much quicker than I could in the past. I'm just still a wimp when it comes to physical pain. The orb is wide enough to keep me from being overly aggressive.

Venus square Chiron - This aspect has been pretty painful in the past, but I don't think it has been as painful as it could have been. I've experienced a lot of pain in romantic relationships and most of it was and has been my fault. The pain was a result of my issues with self-esteem and self-worth. Low self-confidence has been a problem too. Chiron was transiting as a sextile to my Venus when I met my twin flame.

Chiron quincunx North Node - I'm honestly not sure what this means. This aspect probably describes the reason for my belief that I'm meant to help people work through their inner demons. Will I ever be successful at doing this? I don't know.

Chiron semi-sextile my Midheaven - Astrological evidence that I've struggled with my life path and career. I still have writer's block, but I don't think my writer's block is permanent. Some of my posts involve me acting like it is and I've usually moved on by the time someone responds. In the moment, however, my every post about writer's block portrays me basically acting like someone just stabbed me and I'm never going to recover and I'm going to die. Jupiter being conjunct my Midheaven is not helpful in this instance as it expands my pain to an unimaginable, dramatic size. Having Moon in Gemini is helpful though. It doesn't stop me from being in pain, but it helps me work through it and keep going. Having my twin flame in my life is helpful too and it's worth mentioning that when my writer's block started, Chiron was opposite my Midheaven. I'm glad I don't have the opposition in my natal chart, not that the semi-sextile is a walk in the park.

Wow Lerena thank you for this in depth explanation of Chiron and how it has developed in your life. Helps me understand better how aspects can play out. For the most part I have trines and sextiles to my Chiron - Mars, Pluto, Mercury but also an opposition to Saturn. My Chiron is in the 12th house and I can’t get a grip of how it shows/effects me but maybe that is the hidden aspect of 12th? Also have questions about you meeting your twin flame but that might be a separate thread. 😬

I think my best friend from childhood has chiron in the 9th but he has it in Taurus, he is Dominican and he tried at some point to get a visa to study here in the US but was not able to. However he got his degree in Argentina so he did study abroad for his higher education and met his now german wife in that University in Argentina. He even lived in Germany for a while with her but didnt like it, he has always been very Dominican and patriotic, he feels at home were he is from and this is something he has always known innately about him since we were kids, in his hearts of hearts he is not interested in living abroad, I think been away from home for too long he cant handle, its too painful maybe but he can drive, 9th house is long distance travel. 3rd house is day to day short distance travel and thank the f god for GPS, I use the hell out of it, at least in the US it works well and gets you were you need to go.

Lerena, Leo is your inner child and your creative potential more than your self esteem, 2nd house rules self worth. You called your writer's block, a writer's void. That has to be chiron in leo in action, this pain you feel for not been creative or creative enough yet chiron means you are suppose to help others access their creativity and maybe by doing that you then can access your own.

My partner has chiron in the 12th inconjunct neptune in the 8th and he has an intense fear of death.

I wonder if you struggle with anxiety with chiron in the 12th maybe you don't understand what is causing the anxiety, like maybe the fears are unknown or your saturn can give us clues to the fear chiron in the 12th carries.

Actually come to think of it with saturn in the 6th maybe you help heal others for a living, like what you do for a living involves helping others face their pain, it could be counseling or hospice work, or nursing people who have fatal illnesses or physical therapy.

I think when chiron involves a career house it would manifest in working with the pain of others and helping them heal.

Or maybe you struggle with health issues yourself with saturn in the 6th opposite chiron or like I said earlier anxiety/depression.

What does saturn rule in you chart? What sign is it in?

Thank you Hypatia238, I always appreciate your input. You are right about most of this. Saturn is in Capricorn in the 6th house. I am very career driven although not in a “healing” field. I might have healing energies or qualities though especially with my Venus in the 12th too. I do struggle with long periods of depression/anxiety with no knowledge of what causes it. My emotions effect my health easily so this could also be what you explained. Hope to figure out how to channel or unlock my hidden 12th house pains.

In my chart, Sun square Saturn used to manifest as self-esteem issues and I connect that back to having Chiron in Leo, because the ruler of my Chiron sign was receiving a hard aspect from Saturn. In relation to what you said, my self-esteem was wounded as a child and my inner child along with it. Of course, also in relation to you saying the 2nd house rules self-worth, Chiron makes a quincunx to my North Node in 2nd house.

Not necessarily. I understand why you have said that, but I also know why I'm still having issues in this area. It comes down to wanting to write so badly that it's also in the way of pursuing the solution to the problem. If I was able to read more often without being crippled by my need to write, I'd be able to recover. People have suggested that I do both in one day, spending some time reading and some time writing, which will be more realistically possible once I've exhausted my writing energy and I don't feel like I'm crippled by needing to write anymore. My Void's Block is a consequence of not reading enough. To fix it, I have to first lessen the severity of my need to write.

I don't feel like my Chiron manifests as creativity issues. I've had those, but they aren't a result of my Chiron placement. Having Chiron in Leo only points to my history having them.

Chiron for me manifests in areas I hold major discomfort in, and probably always will no matter what, but I can learn to deal with it better as time goes on.

I have Chiron in Leo in the 5th house. I've always had difficulty in expressing myself openly in fear of rejection because creativity is my life. If someone rejects my creative spirit, they are essentially rejecting my soul. It doesn't help that I am shy as hell to boot. I can only fully express myself behind closed doors (Pisces Moon in the 12th is also a whole LOT of fun ) And since it trines my Ascendant in Aries, people can usually see through this discomfort in me. I have so much difficulty putting myself out there, and as an artist this is something I NEED to do. I've gotten better with it over time, thankfully through training myself to accept who I am no matter what. I had to learn to become my own best friend and that any sort of rejection by other people regarding me being in the spotlight is on them. I like to encourage other people in their artistic pursuits because as an artist I love to see the many different variations of work out there. I think it's important for people to feel comfortable expressing themselves no matter what. I'm just uncomfortable doing it myself.

Yes that makes sense that sun square saturn leads to self-worth issues for sure, on its own even if your sun did not rule chiron, sun square saturn is rough like that, these folks have a very strong critical voice but I imagine it drives these folks to work hard and achieve bc they want to prove they are worthy, perfectionism is unhealthy but also drives people to achieve and succeed.

Sounds like a great solution to try out.

Perhaps chiron in leo feels they are not seeing or appreciated and that is how it manifests in you then, based on comment you made in my thread, it could be this how chiron in leo manifests in you.

I agree with OP that chiron in the natal chart is tricky to interpret. I definitely feel how it plays out in transits and my original response was more based on that.

My chiron in gemini in the 6th opposite chart ruler jupiter conjunct uranus in the 12th perhaps is about helping others find their voice and embrace their uniqueness. I don't see how it relates to me that much since I have always embraced my uniqueness and modeled that for others and have always been good at speaking up but chiron is exalted in gemini so maybe that is why but I do absorb the pain of others and accompany people in their pain and help people with their healing process while I also feel their pain. I have also had to heal myself through alternative healing but pain is an ongoing thing I feel and theme in my life either bc of my own pain or bc I carry the pain of others too.

I have chiron inconjunct saturn, I imagine that means our chiron is afflicted and leads to episodes of depression from time to time . Chiron aspect saturn is rough, the magi call it the heartbreak clash as you probably already know.

Following up with Moongaze comment maybe Chiron is our SOUL, maybe its were we experience the deepest joy but also the deepest pain.

Both moongaze and lerena care very deeply about their creative side, like it is their soul, life, purpose but since it means so much to them it is also what makes them feel the most vulnerable and brings the most pain but also the most joy into their life.

I think in the natal chart CHIRON is your PURPOSE/PASSION, why you are here. Yes I am going to be bold and say that.

I have chiron in the 6th in gemini opposite chart ruler jupiter conjunct uranus in the 12th forming a golden yod with my moon in the 3rd which rules my 8th and my pluto in the 10th. I am a counselor, I basically provide a service were I help people heal and find their voice, process their feelings, understand their mind and make progress in their healing process through the art of communication and connection.

Two of you are artists or writers and have chiron in leo, one in the 5th and the other in the 9th.

I feel lerena your calling might be teaching a creative writing class potentially, and while you are teaching creative writing you also make progress with your own writing, one thing feeds of the other.

moongaze your calling is definitely to be an artist or to have your own art store and sell art, maybe both.

MMarie the bad news is that I think chiron in the 12th has a hard time figuring out their calling or solidifying their calling. They tend to feel lost maybe but perhaps chiron in the 12th needs solitude or maybe working with the sick or confined is your calling. I mean chiron in cancer tells me you are a caretaker, honestly chiron in cancer in the 12th opposite saturn in capricorn in the 6th makes me feel working with the sick or at a hospital is your calling, I feel you belong in the medical field ranging anywhere from doctor, nurse, CNA.

@hypatia

I like that idea of Chiron being our soul, or even our passion and purpose in life. I've never related to it being just a thorn on our side, but also how there's both a yin and yang aspect to it that comes in both extremes. My 5th house is empty, but I've always related to 5th house activities and dreamed since I was a little girl to become an artist or even a performer of sorts, but this area is one of my most feared as well. I think finding a balance in where our discomforts lie is key to reaping the benefits of Chiron. For me, I love making art and very much need an outlet to express myself in. So working behind scenes and then showcasing it to the public seems like a rather feasible compromise instead of doing something such as performance art in front of an audience. That way the part of me that wants to hide is being nurtured while the other side that desires time to shine is being fulfilled in some capacity too.

I'm confident that my Chiron placement has manifested as poor self-esteem, self-worth, and self-confidence issues. Even if what I say doesn't hold true in all cases, for me, it has manifested this way and I'm not backing down from this statement. I have Venus square Chiron in my chart, which is another indicator, because I've struggled to feel loved and worthy of love in the past. These struggles are related to self-esteem, self-worth, and self-confidence issues based on how the placement has manifested for me. In most cases, I'm very self-aware of how my own placements have likely manifested, and in practice, I'm not going to argue it as true for everyone, just for me personally. All of this said, my interpretation of Chiron in my chart also takes into account my Chiron aspects, not just its sign and house. Its sign and house are not enough for what I've said to be true for me.

I agree with these posts. I'm not sure if they're true, but I can see them as a possibility and my Chiron placement fits with what you've said here.

quote:

My books could inspire people to learn from my example based on my work and the information I share, but I cannot directly teach anyone, let alone an entire class. I'm not a good fit for any teaching position, not even for creative writing. It requires more social interaction than I can handle. Viewing me as a teacher is still technically possible regardless of my official occupation and career. It's also possible that something could one day drastically alter my personality to the point where I suddenly want to teach and become better suited for that. I'm not expecting that last possibility to actually happen.

On the other hand, what I write isn't going to be restricted to just fiction. Fiction is my main reason for being a writer, but I want to write other things. I'm planning on writing books for astrology and stuff as well, but these other books I'll be writing are decades away.

Based on the discovery chart of chiron like I said chiron feels VERY deeply so it makes us feel vulnerable and hence it can be a source of great joy or sadness. I can see how venus square chiron would lead to feeling very vulnerable around the things venus represents including our self-worth, potentially causing issues with self worth until we work through it, then it can become a strength actually since in the discovery chart chiron has pluto conjunct Northnode, I feel ultimately we are suppose to achieve transformation and become stronger thanks to chiron and is why we can then help others.

I was wondering what your interests were in writing, sounds like you want to focus on fiction and astrology and are open to writing about other things as well.

Here is Chiron's Discovery Chart?

Anyone here have any insight to Chiron square Sun in the natal? My Chiron is in Libra, 12th house and my Sun is in Capricorn 3rd house. I get it's the wounded healer, and I've struggled with my will to live for years. But I am having a hard time coming up with positives and trying to heal those emotions. Anyone have any brainstorm ideas?

as you may have noticed, all the interpretations of chiron are derived from his myth.but the myth is much broader ta just wounded healer. chiron is the symbolof Sagittarius, so Chiron gives great breath of knowledge and occult science.chiron gives intelligence and a critical and incisive mind.

Back to this thread....trying to better understand Chiron and it’s part in my natal chart. I posted in Astrology 2.0 but see if I get better understanding here. Recently noticed there is a grand kite with Pallas Conjunct Chiron in the 12 house to Mars/ Mercury/ Saturn. I very much relate to what MergoatSun said struggling with will and healing wounds.Struggling with even identifying those wounds but know there are many due to childhood situations. If anyone has insight to what this configuration means in my chart maybe I can better understand how to deal with it.
