http://www.sci-news.com/astronomy/2018-vg18-farout-dwarf-planet-06732.html as of 1948 it MIGHT be around 1° gemini https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_VG18 They have only observed it for a month. Should look promising. H=3.6 Jim IP: Logged |

In case people come to this thread thinking that those are name-asteroid numbers? Nope. Those numbers in parentheses are the year of birth. Cayce b.1877 Einstein b.1879 With Beethoven, he has a name-asteroid. 2001 Beethoven - http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Cayce,_Edgar - http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Einstein,_Albert - http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Beethoven,_Ludwig_Van Jim, happy belated saggi birthday! Obviously nobody here lies to go to astro.com, this is a copy from what alois didThe orbit of 2018VG18 ist still very uncertain. I have used the orbital elements I could find at MPC (Minor Planet Center) https://minorplanetcenter.net/ and computed an ephemeris file with the pseudo-number 999042, for the years 1500 - 2100 According to this speculative orbit, it crossed the ecliptic in 1820 and in 1977, and was at is perihel (closest distance to the Sun) in 1828, at a distance outside of Uranus' orbit at 22 AU. This is very speculative! It can be used in charts, keeping in mind that the position is highly unreliable outside of the current decade. swetest -b1.1.1550greg -s10y -n51 -xs999042 -ps -fTPZBR -roundmin date (dmy) 1.1.1550 greg. 0:00:00 TT version 2.07.02a long lat distance 01.01.1550 2018 VG18 15 cn 58 -23°29' 148.292450099 01.01.1560 2018 VG18 17 cn 10 -23°52' 146.096379402 01.01.1570 2018 VG18 18 cn 23 -24°15' 143.759653740 01.01.1580 2018 VG18 19 cn 40 -24°39' 141.291980352 01.01.1590 2018 VG18 20 cn 59 -25° 2' 138.689302308 01.01.1600 2018 VG18 22 cn 22 -25°26' 135.937646392 01.01.1610 2018 VG18 23 cn 48 -25°51' 133.027178135 01.01.1620 2018 VG18 25 cn 19 -26°15' 129.968594815 01.01.1630 2018 VG18 26 cn 53 -26°41' 126.737899182 01.01.1640 2018 VG18 28 cn 35 -27° 6' 123.348567934 01.01.1650 2018 VG18 0 le 21 -27°32' 119.788575015 01.01.1660 2018 VG18 2 le 15 -27°59' 116.046283280 01.01.1670 2018 VG18 4 le 16 -28°25' 112.103204989 01.01.1680 2018 VG18 6 le 28 -28°52' 107.969230167 01.01.1690 2018 VG18 8 le 50 -29°20' 103.609131618 01.01.1700 2018 VG18 11 le 27 -29°47' 99.036766376 01.01.1710 2018 VG18 14 le 20 -30°13' 94.236223151 01.01.1720 2018 VG18 17 le 33 -30°39' 89.176288851 01.01.1730 2018 VG18 21 le 9 -31° 3' 83.830630581 01.01.1740 2018 VG18 25 le 18 -31°23' 78.207628660 01.01.1750 2018 VG18 0 vi 7 -31°38' 72.254597651 01.01.1760 2018 VG18 5 vi 50 -31°41' 65.985177199 01.01.1770 2018 VG18 12 vi 45 -31°27' 59.362153135 01.01.1780 2018 VG18 21 vi 22 -30°38' 52.395834983 01.01.1790 2018 VG18 2 li 24 -28°46' 45.087410796 01.01.1800 2018 VG18 16 li 59 -24°46' 37.622302440 01.01.1810 2018 VG18 6 sc 54 -16°33' 30.434914124 01.01.1820 2018 VG18 4 sa 39 -0°56' 24.793458260 01.01.1830 2018 VG18 12 cp 38 19°40' 23.139820254 01.01.1840 2018 VG18 24 aq 34 30°22' 26.610676274 01.01.1850 2018 VG18 25 pi 26 29°19' 33.088678715 01.01.1860 2018 VG18 14 ar 17 25° 1' 40.474408732 01.01.1870 2018 VG18 26 ar 19 20°45' 47.926836483 01.01.1880 2018 VG18 4 ta 43 17° 7' 55.109077523 01.01.1890 2018 VG18 10 ta 58 14° 6' 61.957907739 01.01.1900 2018 VG18 15 ta 56 11°33' 68.439241182 01.01.1910 2018 VG18 19 ta 59 9°23' 74.588295949 01.01.1920 2018 VG18 23 ta 26 7°30' 80.409564294 01.01.1930 2018 VG18 26 ta 23 5°51' 85.941342128 01.01.1940 2018 VG18 29 ta 0 4°22' 91.177925516 01.01.1950 2018 VG18 1 ge 20 3° 3' 96.151749301 01.01.1960 2018 VG18 3 ge 28 1°52' 100.868204887 01.01.1970 2018 VG18 5 ge 25 0°46' 105.374586169 01.01.1980 2018 VG18 7 ge 13 -0°15' 109.646699636 01.01.1990 2018 VG18 8 ge 54 -1°11' 113.723381783 01.01.2000 2018 VG18 10 ge 28 -2° 3' 117.595673683 01.01.2010 2018 VG18 11 ge 58 -2°51' 121.278646312 01.01.2020 2018 VG18 13 ge 22 -3°37' 124.775594514 01.01.2030 2018 VG18 14 ge 43 -4°21' 128.119761307 01.01.2040 2018 VG18 16 ge 0 -5° 2' 131.286060210 01.01.2050 2018 VG18 17 ge 14 -5°41' 134.303803306 And here in 1-month steps for the current epoch, all geocentric. swetest -b1.1.2018 -s30 -n18 -xs999042 -ps -fTPZBR -roundmin date (dmy) 1.1.2018 greg. 0:00:00 TT version 2.07.02a 01.01.2018 2018 VG18 13 ge 5 -3°28' 124.092440847 31.01.2018 2018 VG18 12 ge 55 -3°28' 124.470832376 02.03.2018 2018 VG18 12 ge 52 -3°28' 124.991169464 01.04.2018 2018 VG18 12 ge 55 -3°27' 125.519099192 01.05.2018 2018 VG18 13 ge 5 -3°27' 125.924680347 31.05.2018 2018 VG18 13 ge 19 -3°27' 126.115794058 30.06.2018 2018 VG18 13 ge 33 -3°28' 126.056135957 30.07.2018 2018 VG18 13 ge 44 -3°29' 125.769060774 29.08.2018 2018 VG18 13 ge 50 -3°30' 125.331164823 28.09.2018 2018 VG18 13 ge 49 -3°31' 124.857422665 28.10.2018 2018 VG18 13 ge 42 -3°32' 124.477339979 27.11.2018 2018 VG18 13 ge 29 -3°33' 124.302675032 27.12.2018 2018 VG18 13 ge 16 -3°33' 124.393199464 26.01.2019 2018 VG18 13 ge 5 -3°33' 124.734093089 25.02.2019 2018 VG18 13 ge 0 -3°32' 125.238293332 27.03.2019 2018 VG18 13 ge 2 -3°32' 125.775008655 26.04.2019 2018 VG18 13 ge 11 -3°32' 126.210664067 26.05.2019 2018 VG18 13 ge 24 -3°32' 126.444587891

If an object doesn't have a number from astronomers, alois(at astro.com) give it a pseudo number. Try going to astro.com forum sometime. that bjorkstrand character is over there too, my second home. IP: Logged |

OH!!! Thanks for letting me know that he does that for us. A few times I've gone there to 'see' if there's a number assigned to some of the newest finds. How does Alois adjust the pseudo-number after it has a REAL number? I think VERY HIGHLY of him. There's soooo much there!!! I've HAVE seen 'your character' at astro forum, plus other places. I think it's cool that you use the same name/character. I had been there just-before (or as) I registered at LL. Got "intimidated" at the higher level of knowledge participants had there. Felt I couldn't really add without making a fool of myself. I was still in the barest-beginnings of learning. I had begun an interest in astrology, saw a thread I might like here at LL, (dealing with asteroids), and jumped in (VERY nervously-- I have a shyness that people might never guess I have). LL member Jovian, sorta took me under her wings.. Left me breadcrumbs (links) to other threads (which helped me get to know LL). One of the reasons I decided to establish self at LL then, was that we get to edit our posts. Sometimes I need to 'adjust' what I said, for clarity-- OR to be able to add MORE information to a particular idea in post I already made, thinking it adds to keep it richer and fuller. Keep the information more "organized" and available 'to the eye.' Glad you're around. (thanks for the invite, will see) IP: Logged |

the real astrological period = 850 years. in the pythagoras/buddha chart(the great transformation) of 12 may 574 BC VG18 is only 20 degrees away from the great conjunction of pluto, neptune, uranus, jupiter, mars, mercury and the sun. So if the object is faster it might conjunct the above. We shall see next year.Jim

Nobody has a clue when buddha was born so therefore since u r an astrologer let astrology(so above so below) do the work. The people who could be born r buddha, pythagoras, loe-tse, confucius(a contempary of lao-tzu, daniel, patanjali, zoraster and cyrus the great. Now i'm not saying they r born on the same day, but definitely the same year. For buddha here is proof that he was born in the 6th century. They carbon dated a piece of wood. ps I was pythagoras, he stole the triangle info from the egyptians + the golden number. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1wuCf7ReXQ buddha info Merry xmas Jim

oops. astronomers used to think it had a period of 1222 years. Now they think it's 726. A slight mistake. Now they've done 26 observations instead of 16. Maybe by January they will figure it out. Maybe 2018 VG18 means assumption of the truth. It still opposes my sun like before. carry on IP: Logged |
