Since Orion lies in Gemini and spans nearly 20 degrees of the sign then wouldn't fixed stars in any of the Sagittarius constellations be directly opposite all the Orion fixed stars? My astronomy professor said this was incorrect. I didn't mention any astrological things, but she still said no. What's the astronomical and astrological difference between accurately describing fixed stars and their locations? Does astronomy not focus on fixed stars like Betelgeuse, Rigel etc and only on what constellation they're in? When I first learned about fixed stars a few years ago I learned about it the "astrological way" and didn't think about the astronomy behind it because I assumed the astronomy and astrology about fixed stars and constellations was the same.
