I have Orcus conjunct asteroid Lucifer and Jupiter, all of which square Pluto/Sun/Venus, sextile Mars and inconjunct Neptune (the last two are in a yod with jupiter) in my chart! I can definitely say 'promise keeping' in the sense of 'this MEANS a lot and may or may not destroy me if I am betrayed by a broken promise' is kind of how it feels for me.

I dislike making promises to anyone, often because I tend to beat myself up for not following through- which is actually fairly normal for humans. We don't value 'promises' too much as a whole, and we tend to think they are just empty words (at least in North America).

Orcus can do some heavy damage (in the form of Plutonic style destruction as a means of transforming what isn't needed; ie empty words) if you talk big promises and then break them. I grew up with idle promises a lot, and often felt very let down because I trust people's word very deeply (perhaps because I try not to speak unless I am speaking the truth, but that I assume is Jupiter's influence as a light/truth bringer).
