Have you ever checked what asteroids you have on midpoints in your chart? If so, what significance would you give them? Would you even give them any significance?

I like this blog for info on the various midpoints: http://john-sandbach.blogspot.com/2010/

So yeah... tell me about it!

Some of mine... I'm keeping the orb really small, definitely less than half a degree, preferably even more exact. And I'm only counting conjunctions, for now. Text within quotation marks are descriptions of the various midpoints, just to keep it a bit simpler.

Artemis=Sun/Moon
"The flow of energy and information from the subconscious to the conscious and the process of finding meaning and order in it."
- The midpoint between ego and soul is bound to be important. And Artemis, the goddess of the moon and the hunt, on there feels rather apt for me. I associate Artemis with wild and untamable feminine power, independence, nature and virginity. I have several other virgin goddesses featuring prominently in my chart as well and I'm asexual, so the virginity is rather literal in my case.

Toro=Venus/AC
"A person with a loving, easy-going personality. The ability to share with others and to put them at ease. Contentment with oneself – which negatively might express as laziness and selfishness."
- Venus rules my ascendant so this midpoint probably has a lot to do with my self-image and what I project. Toro is said to have to do with bullying, and I was bullied for my appearance and how I dressed for much of my childhood and teens. Not so much anymore though, these days I suppose Toro expresses itself positively and helping me be assertive and stand up for myself.

Cybele=Sun/AC
"To come across to others with self-confidence and/or with egotism, often when one is not meaning to do so. A centered and purposeful way of projecting oneself."
- Cybele is another untamed goddess. She is a foreign (to the greeks, who we know her through) earth and mother goddess associated with transgender and eunuch priests, drunken revelry, uncivilized life, wild nature... Quite a non-comformist goddess! And all that is rather fitting... I go against the grain in many ways, especially with regards to gender stereotypes and LGBTQ rights and the like... And I'm not afraid to show it and stand up for it.

Apollo=Sun/Pluto
"A relentless craving for discovering the deepest meanings in life. Striving for personal power, be it mental, physical, or spiritual. Obsessiveness where goals are concerned."
- This one is more mysterious to me. Apollo, the twin brother of Artemis, is the god of prophecy, medicine and music, light and truth. It is said by some to show our talents, where we shine...

Psyche=Sybil=Mercury/Pluto
"Mental obsessiveness. The tendency to be extremely opinionated. The need to transform the mind by clearing negative thinking. The ability to communicate in a powerful manner. Communication that is so intense it destroys itself, causing miscommunication or no communication. One tends to hold extreme ideas which could be transformative in a positive way, or destructive."
- Mmmm, transformative thought together with Sybil (prophecy) and very complex Psyche (mind/soul, metamorphosis, fragility of love, self-knowledge...) Not sure what to make of that, but it sure looks significant.

Circe=Gifu=Mercury/Uranus
"Independent thinking. Strange ideas. A progressive mind. Thinking outside the box and experimenting with ideas. Sudden communication that can catch people off guard. The ability to say things in an unique or unusual way. A spasmodic scattering of energies that can create upset and/or cause failure due to not putting enough energy into any one thing."
- Gifu is the name of the G rune in the old Norse futhark. The name means gift and the rune is associated with gifts, generosity and harmony. Circe is a sorceress in the Odyssey. In astrology she is associated with magic, cunning, manipulation, wise council, seduction, transformation... Not sure what to make of these either.

Pallas=Bohemia=Uranus/AC
"An unusual and/or unpredictable personality. To have fast and/or surprising reactions to stimuli. To be seen by other people as unique, original, and/or highly distinctive. One does not easily fit into accepted categories, and, in fact, may rebel against them. One who changes or experiments with one's outer appearance."
- Bohemia is pretty straight forward. I do have a very bohemian lifestyle and tastes. Pallas is associated with wisdom, intellect, justice, advice, strategy, equality, reason, impartiality... She is another complex one that is hard to interpret. I do feel that I imbody her in part though... and the way I express that can be rather Uranian I guess.

Lie=Moron=Jupiter/Neptune
"Richness of imagination. Copious idealism. To help others abundantly and generously. To be unworried and/or unconcerned about material things, and hence the possibility of being wasteful. A person who is easily duped or taken advantage of. An excess of dreaming or fantasizing causes trouble. Enthusiasm over possibilities."
- Do you sometimes feel like your chart is intentionally trying to insult you? I had a lol-moment when I found these asteroids on a midpoint. Maybe I am an easily duped moron with a penchant for lying to myself and others... I'd like to think I'm more rational and honest than that though.

Thanks for the bump Randall! I'm surprised that no one is into this topic, because I'm finding it endlessly rewarding and entertaining. I've kept at it and found some more interesting midpoint pictures in my chart. Like these for instance:

Pax=Polymele=Venus/MC
- Venux/MC could be about: Bringing beauty/love to the world. Harmonious public relations, dimplomacy. Artistic career... Pax, 'peace', and Polymele, 'many songs', on there seems significant. I certainly try to bring peace to the world around me... And I am a woman of many songs.

Philomela=Odysseus=Demodokus=Hephaistos=Venus/Mars
- Venus/Mars could be about love and desire. But since I'm completely asexual Venus tends to be more about arts/aesthetics/pleasures and Mars more about assertiveness/energy/anger. So this midpoint is more likely to be about artistic or sensual drive for me. This is one big chunk of asteroids too. Philomela means 'lover of song'. Odysseus is a very complex one, not very clear and easy, but here it's combined with Demodokus which points to a single scene in the Odyssey, wherein the bard Demodokus' singing makes Odysseus weep. Two of the songs are about the Trojan war, and those are the ones that make Odysseus weep, but the last tells a story of Hephaistos (the Greek god of metalworking and fire and stuff) catching his unfaithful wife Afrodite's (Venus!) and her lover Ares (Mars!!) in the act, and embarrasing them in front of the rest of the gods. I need to go read that scene in the Odyssey in its entirety because that's just crazy! One single scene encompassing all of the planets and asteroids involved in this picture... No idea what it all means, but significant for sure! I am a singer, and many have commented that they find my singing emotionally moving... but what Hephaistos and the affair between Aphrodite and Ares has to do with it is not very clear to me.
