It is great that there is such a day. Visibility matters a great deal when it comes to preventing such horrific deeds in the future. Slowly but surely improving the situation!

Sadly one should note the low number of recorder trans murders in Africa. Considering the high prevalence of LGBTQ violence in many African countries it's likely that there are many trans murders that go unrecorded. Invisible victims that would deserve as much recognition. There are other hidden victims too of course, but the African statistics stand out to me.
