Does anyone know anything about this asteroid? I accidentally keyed it in wrongly and it showed up. It conjuncts my Asc at exact degrees, squares my Pluto, trines my Moon and Chiron. IP: Logged |

463 Lola is a "name" asteroid. During your lifetime you might run across interesting individuals with that name. Or, you could find an influence, such as described by MAH. quote - http://markandrewholmes.com/lola.html . . . It may have been named for a character in the 1890 opera Cavalleria Rusticana by the Italian composer Pietro Mascagni (1863-1945). . . . Lola, the hero Turridu's fiancee, married a cart driver named Alfio while Turridu was away doing military service,--- setting in motion a chain of events which ends in a duel between Turridu and Alfio in which Turridu is killed. . . . The meaning of asteroid Lola seems to be: strippers, trying to make it on one's own (Damien Foor); to not have broken, embarrassing, cut off, isolated, naked. end/quote Here is an operatic piece, describing Lola-- the character for which this rock was named. The opening piece of music is called a "prelude" .. which traditionally is an instrumental piece, presenting a collage of motifs. At soundmark 2:50, you hear a singer, and see the words describing his Lola translated into English. The piece is relatively sedate.. quiet. Even boring, if you're not in the mood for it? Honoring the astronomers who named her after this operatic character. (music) "Preludio...O Lola ch'hai di latti la cammisa" (Pietro Mascagni's 1890 opera Cavalleria Rusticana; Metropolitan Opera, Feb. 7, 1970, conducted by Leonard Bernstein) [8:10*] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ha6tX6otSd0 {Singing, with English Translations, starts at soundmark *2:50} *~ (music) Fantaisie Impromptu aka "The Butterfly" (Chopin, Lola Astanova pianist, Sep 2018) [4:46] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FdDLvED_4E ^ Best performance I've ever heard of that Chopin piece yet! And she's easy on the eyes, too. LOL (music) Whatever Lola Wants Lola Gets! (from musical Damn Yankees, Gwen Verdon, 1958) [4:05] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kjQmgm0r4g (music) Lola! (The Kinks, from One for The Road, live 1980) [5:44] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_xA6sH9kkQ _______________________ My placement 463 Lola rx Sagittarius 6.42' H12scorp .. conj ASC 4s opp Sun Gem -1s quintile Moon Virgo -0s sextile Chiron rx Aqua -1a conj (m)BML Sag 2s H12

Thank you so much!! I guess that is why I was unable to find information of it online. So named asteroids essentially do not mean anything? IP: Logged |

Gently... I didn't say ~that. *grin* Look at the list again. Check out the asteroid URL. Compare your OWN life-experiences (so far in your length of time on earth), with your placements. Do they match anything like the list of word-meanings that MarkAndrewHolmes offered? Other than that... names of people, places, objects, news-items, could catch your attention. Looking up the various asteroid names associated with those, might turn up some interesting things for you. I'm asteroid-sensitive? Been in this for a handful of years. I can hear things in the news, and instantly pretty-much know which asteroids could be involved. Most of all, just have Fun with them. It's the BEST way to learn. IP: Logged |

Hello! Thank you so much for your responses. If it is not too much of a bother, do you mind looking at my other post on Dejanira conjunct my Moon, Chiron and trine my Ascendant? It is also on this asteroid forum and I have posted my natal chart on the thread. I didn't receive any replies for it and it is something that really bothers/terrifies me because I have read so much bad things about it >.< I would really, genuinely appreciate your expertise on the matter.
