Hi all!!!!
I’ve been following! And had so much to say yet not really knowing where to start!
I’ve been mulling and digesting everything I read here.

I will be back!!!!

Just wanted to say thank you first.
I am so happy hearing everyone’s different thoughts, hearing about each other’s spiritual journeys... and just overall seeing how open-minded everyone is )
It makes me very glad that we can have respectful discussions about things like this.... ☺️

IRL I’ve always had a difficult time explaining to others about how I feel I am a mix of eastern and western spiritual/philosophical thoughts... but yet it makes sense to me in my heart and I feel peace.
And hearing that many of you have delved in both western and eastern traditions makes me feel a sense of belonging

Edit!*** I just saw all the new posts!
Sauerkraut! You are so deep!!!!
Thank you for sharing. I’m a little speechless.
The more I read your messages... the more I get a feel of who you are. It’s so different from my initial impression of you... which wasn’t the bigger picture! I don’t mean this in any way... just an observation.
I like that you’re bold and I like that you’ve come to this place where.... how do you say.........
You just sound pretty amazing. Strong and amazing kudos!!!

In other words, Jesus was a Buddha; there have been many and there will be more, and it’s ultimately everyone’s goal.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Chanterelle!
I admire your boldness in sharing your views! Growing up I wouldn't dare say anything like that.. even now I am so afraid of being bullied for voicing my thoughts when it comes to spirituality.. or metaphysics. Especially if it's to a Christian. I'm afraid of that kind of confrontation!

I hope to be as courageous and bold as you!

I grew up in a household that shared your ideas about Christ.. but I was always more wishy washy.. I believed what I needed when it helped me.
But I think I resonate more with what you believe.. that Christ consciousness.. or the "G word" is within all of us...
yet sometimes I like to believe in a "God" like figure that I can appeal to and feel some comfort... it could be like in monotheistic traditions.. or it could be sort of like how Catholics see patron saints.. or Buddhists appeal to buddhas/bodhisattvas even though they don't believe in a god figure. (This is out of the scope of the question but Im trying to explain what I believe)

I've been turned off by organized religion many times too.. Even though deep in my heart I really longed to find belonging in a spiritual group of some sort. Some organized religions get too dogmatic.. and I think they lose the heart of what they believe in the process.
And I hate that.
I definitely got bullied a handful of times for not being baptized.. even within denominations there is disagreement.

I've heard of Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi but I haven't read it. I'm intrigued now though. I will definitely put it on my list. How were you introduced to it?
I've only been introduced to Indian philosophy (non-Buddhist) lately.. I'm doing a yoga training so its required study... lot of work on Iyengar.. and currently on the Bhagavad Gita. I'm still reading up on it... but definitely a lot of food for thought!

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and views. I haven't replied for so long even though all sorts of thoughts were racing through my head... because... I still have this hesitancy... and fear might I say? ... when talking about these things... even on an anonymous forum!

I honestly don’t remember where I came across that book; I think it was during my freshman year of college, after a summer living and working with Tibetan Buddhists. The thing that struck me was just these occasional footnotes where he would use a Bible verse to illustrate a point and explain it from the perspective of his own tradition (they consider’ ‘Issa’/Yeshua/Jesus to be a master of their lineage as well).
Faith is definitely not much of a uniting force in my family; my dad was raised Catholic and wants nothing to do with church, but one of my brothers just joined a seminary. My mom’s family had nothing to do with church growing up; she spent a couple of years of my childhood trying to make us go with her, but it didn’t take (though I do love gospel music). But my oldest daughter has actually decided, all on her own, to get baptized in that same church, got her first job there as a Sunday school assistant, so... to each their own, I suppose. I don’t see any contradiction between the nativity figures on my windowsill and the Manjushri thanka on my wall; I guess that about covers it for now. Thanks for sharing — I myself have just recently started to realize how useful it is to feel free to talk about this stuff.

mirage and todd, i like how both of you explained the nodal axis. thats a better way to look at it. past, present and future existing simultaneously as a whole, balancing at the center.. i like that a lot.

yesss. i totally enjoy reading other peoples views and how they are/were formed. this thread has been encouraging all around. even the tidbit ive shared here has never been shared with anyone else in real life. i definitely resonate with dwhelps on the hesitancy even on an anonymous forum.. kind of funny really.

hello again dwhelps,
do you think that last relationship happened so you could stop selling yourself short? you are very spiritually openminded and it seems like that relationship might have forced you to be more authentic with yourself. this is pretty much how i feel about my past decisions these days. in my case, it was getting into relationships or friendships with people where i was unable to honor my authentic self. i just wanted to belong too.. thinking it would make me happy - to hide such an important part of myself and thinking that i would feel like i belong? yeah it sounds super ridiculous in hindsight..

moonmystic,
i plugged in christ comet and saint michel/michel for kicks. the asteroids are sandwiching my sun. what exactly is christ comet? couldnt find much info on it. is it stationary at 11 degrees aries? isa makes a sextile to my chart ruler jupiter. also plugged in asteroid yasue 8101 and its conjunct christ comet. (from wiki: The name for Jesus in some languages including Arabic and Swahili (the language spoken around East and Central African Countries) as spoken by Christians (Yasū' or Yesu (يَسُوعَ)) and Malayalam (compare to the Hebrew "Yeshua")

i also plugged in a bunch of other spiritual ones that made significant aspects but not trying to veer too much off topic. asteroids are fun but overwhelming at the moment - like a bunch of astrological jig saw puzzle pieces scattered everywhere.

Hi all
I'm not sure if you all remember me and this thread?

First of all, I want to wish everyone a very happy New Year!

Truthfully, in addition to being really busy end of the year... it was mostly that I've been MIA...because I was still so blown away by it all.

It's been at the back of my mind for months.
Something I've been digesting still at the back of my mind..
The image of the chart and the asteroid was just so imprinted in my mind all these months..
I didn't feel ready to plug in other asteroids and delve further.

I finally feel that I can sit down and feel READY to plug in those other asteroids. And say something.

I was sitting with it all for months....
as well as all these responses...

it's been very beautiful.

@mirage29 Your experiences and the way you express yourself left me quite breathless.. I still don't quite know how to put into words how much love and beauty you bring across. Thank you so much! It has been very healing for me!

As for @Chanterelle thank you so much for sharing. I had a Manjushri thangka in my bedroom for many years and chanted the mantra for just as long!

I felt a sense of belonging from all of your responses.. and I've carried that around for awhile - in the timing of everything else and other people I've met around this time.. it's been so..... timely.

@MoonMystic Thank you so much for your responses and guidance too!
I finally feel ready to plug in the other asteroids....

and in my chart
Christcomet h59 is conj my Sun near my Desc
Samadhi 12472 is exactly conjunct my Mercury in Pisces
near Loving 432971 and my NN.
These are all in the 6th house!

Christian 192158 is near my Jupiter-Vertex-Juno in 7th house!

Kridsadaporn 7604 squares my Mercury-NN conjunction

As for Isa 1485, it is opposite my Mars.

Ilse 249 is conjunct Yeshuhua

I'm not quite so good at astrology to explain and interpret these aspects into words.. but it makes sense to me. it didn't come as a surprise when I see them..
I've been sensing/digesting the kite formation in my chart for the last few months... feeling its place in my life... and its resonated with me tremendously.

@Sauerkraut I hope you are doing well!!!
Exactly, everything you had said!
That is what I firmly believe too.
ALL my past relationships happened so I could stop selling myself short.
I finally felt/feel that that part of me is a thing of the past now.
Sounds like it is for you too!
I finally feel like I am at a place where I can honor my authentic self in relationships of any sort. That has been such a long and hard journey for me. It feels tremendously empowering. How have you been??!!!

I've definitely not forgotten you, nor this thread. I almost *bumped* it for Christmas Celebration, wondering how you were doing.

Today, this week, they celebrate the coming of the Wise Men (Magi). The Epiphany.

I'm glad you found some healing in words.
What a Beautiful way you expressed your self, Dwhelps.

Mirage! Thank you for your reply!
What a peculiar thing indeed!
On Dec 21, also the winter solstice now I recall... something very breakthrough and wonderful happened to me... I was able to overcome a deep fear through faith ❤️

And I had completely forgotten about the liturgical calendar! I didn’t realize this Sunday was the celebration of the Epiphany, the coming of the Wise men.
How peculiar that I would finally post in this thread!!!!!
But it figures since this is the Advent-Christmas season.
I guess the culmination of these past weeks and the new year has me feeling ready.

How very beautiful.......

Thank you for guiding me to that ☺️

I hope you had/have a beautiful Christmas too!
Mine was the best I have had in 2 years! Filled with joy, laughter and many tears of gratitude that I have not had for the last 2 years that I had been struggling. Very thankful ❤️

Thank you ❤️ You are a beautiful, gentle and kind soul!
