That's what I'm talking about, perfect example of his influence. Scary. I am glad you & your sis are good. Just a random question..were you two born close to the same time. Like is both of your ascendants on Algol? Ik the ascendant moves 1 degree every 4 mins or are there other connections.

My mother has her ascendant @ 20 taurus and my dad had his @ 19. I didn't include those cause I felt the orb was to big but my mother also has thyroid problems where she takes a nice cocktail of meds. I don't remember if it is hypo or hyper..I think hyper but w/e. My pops never had any neck/throat issues, so it could be her moon...or a combo.

My Medusa is also within a degree of my mercury. Mercury is right on the 6th house cusp, depending on which chart generator i am using, it is either placed in the 5th or 6th. My 6th is at 9 degrees 35 min Sagittarius. Mercury is 8 & 41 mins, Medusa is exactly 1 degree away @ 9 & 41 mins. Mercury is by far my weakest planet. It conjunct Saturn in the 6th & square mars & Jupiter in pisces in the 9th. I have always been an incredibly quiet person & I hated it growing up because everyone would get mad at me and ask why I was so quiet & telling me I needed to talk. Idk why I am quiet...wtf kinda question is that? Why won't you stfu? Its like I really didn't even know how, it caused me alot of emotional issues like it was my fault, I turned to alcohol and drugs to help me talk. In 2nd grade I had to have my adenoids removed. I didn't really start suffering emotionally in 4th grade & I would always pretend I was sick to try and get outta school. I'd go and rinse my mouth with hot water on the way to the nurse & at home id put the thermometer to the lamp...which worked great until one time i screwed up and when my grandma came back to check it was at like 115...so she would sit in the room after that. Sometime in 4th grade I started actually getting sick all the time. Id come down with strep throat, tonsillitis & the flu. My tonsils were the size of walnuts & it took forever to get them removed cause I had to be well for surgery & I kept getting sick. In 5th grade I was home schooled for about half the year and was able to have them removed in the spring sometime, and didn't go back til about a month before the end of the school year, which I loved cause I hated school. I grew into my quiet personality in my 20s and actually loved that part of myself. It was also in my 20s I developed a nice slew of mental disorders that have earned me more than a few hospital trips. While I was reading about Algol this past year, mental illness was mentioned as being associated with ol' Al. As in losing one's head.

I don't think that having Algol connections in the chart means one is doomed, but as you and I have both experienced first hand, the nature of this Star is, for the lack of a better word, evil. I don't by any means think he should be disregarded. He clearly means business & should be taken seriously. But unlike me he is anything but quiet, awareness is everything. Evil is very much a real thing but there is Good and all we can really do is be that Good.

Thanks for sharing that story of Medusa's origins. That is what I felt why she became evil. Like before posiden, she may have never even thought about going down the path she did, but was pushed to far and became the same evil that hurt her. Misery loves company. Maybe she felt if she had to suffer then everyone else should have to suffer with her. Ofcourse everyone is held accountable for their own actions but those her hurt her definitely hold some of the blame.

My own posiden is within a degree conjunct my Dejanaira as well as the name asteroid that resonates with my past and present self. I have always carried that pain, like I have suffered at the hands of others & have had a tendency to see myself as the victim. While I have never come anywhere close to chopping off a head, I'd have no problem cutting people from my life for any little thing. Or bail on jobs, school projects or other obligations & justify it. I have always just ran off, I even fight with that instinct these days but realize I can't really do that & take responsibility for my actions. I have found my power in my pain though and in many ways I feel blessed for having to go through the things I did. We are never alone in our suffering. But suffering & pain are not the same. Suffering is a choice, granted it is an inevitably in alot of situations. But we can overcome suffering. Our pain will never subside though, it is a necessary part of the human experience. Pain is the most beautiful thing there is IMO. In many ways i feel sad for those who never really experience it for what it is. I feel lost without it, like it's me. We all have our cross to bare.

Its like if God & Christ is telling you to do this, don't you think it is a good idea to do it. Assuming you believe in both. W/e everyone moves at their own speed I suppose.

@ VeronicaNicole: I'm so sorry you got the "why are you so quiet" subtle verbal abuse as well growing up! I feel ya sister! I would always say back, "I don't know, why are you so loud and annoying?!" That seemed to shut people up real quick but of course I always felt terrible for saying that afterwards. I have Mercury in Scorpio in the 6th opposite my AC and square my moon so I understand the pain with having an afflicted Mercury. I'LL TALK WHEN I WANNA TALK!! Lol....
