I set an alarm with Siri and it saved as the 'don't mission' instead of DART lol. I'm excited, gonna watch it with my space-crazed nephew.
For anyone interested the asteroid is 65803 Didymos "twins" in Greek, named after its binary orbit with its satellite Dimorphos. The rocket will be crashing into Dimorphos in an effort to test an asteroid redirection technique.
"NASA's DART mission launched to Didymos at 1:21 a.m. EST on Nov. 24, 2021, on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California."
