The four Royal Stars of Persia are Aldebaran, Regulus, Antares, and Fomalhaut. In ancient Persian astrology, these stars were known as the "Watchers of the Sky" and were associated with the Four Cardinal and Fixed Directions and the Changing Seasons. They Guard the Heavens and bring luck and success. Aldebaran:
Associated with the vernal equinox and the "Watcher of the East." It is linked to the constellation Taurus (the bull) and the Persian deity Tishtrya, the deity of rain and fertility.
Regulus:
Associated with the summer solstice and the "Watcher of the North." It is linked to the constellation Leo (the lion) and the Persian deity Vanant, who is a guardian.
Antares:
Associated with the autumnal equinox and the "Watcher of the West." It is linked to the constellation Scorpio (the scorpion).
Fomalhaut:
Associated with the winter solstice and the "Watcher of the South." It is linked to the constellation Piscis Austrinus (the southern fish). Since the other three belong to the “fixed” astrological signs Taurus, Leo and Scorpio, Fomalhaut is assumed to be associated with Aquarius, the fourth fixed sign. It can be seen low in the southern sky in the fall, and can be seen due south around 11:00 p.m. in early October.
Regulus which is our focus here, has completed its journey and ended, and moved into Virgo on November 28, 2011 at 6:34 AM EST. I was so excited when that happened because it meant the start of the true ending of the patriarch and patriarchal influences of the Fire sign of Leo. Much of the early kingdoms relied on this power to build their kingdoms, and their control over society including the hero archetype.
So its not really called Regulus anymore in actuality because its now moved into Virgo's constellation. In Latin "regulus" means "little king" or "prince". It is the diminutive form of the Latin word "Rex," meaning "King". In some contexts, it can also refer to a petty king or chieftain.
Since she has moved into Virgo, "Regia Virgo or Regia Mulier" means royal maiden, royal woman. The very feminine healing archetype of Virgo is the blessing from the Royal Star, from here forth.
Virgo truly has so many symbols connected with her, and I often use her in connection with not only Healing and 6H Archetypes but also her connection to the vastness of Spiritual Healing (since the 6th is connected to the 12th or the manifestation of the 12th).
REGULUS IN VIRGO
The New Mythmakers Begin
Compilation by Phoenix the Elder
If Astrology was written by many of the world’s famous writers, philosophers or religious scribes today, when writers were still gods, these changing times upon us, at the collective level would read something like this…
“We now decree, the Official Royal Ruler of Cosmology, under one of the four Royal Star called Regulus, both Guardian and Gatekeeper has now changed hands. The ’13th cycle’ was entrusted to a Patriarch-rulership called the Sun Cult commenses, and has now been fulfilled in the year 2012 ce. All negotiations, terms, laws and prophecy under such commensement, the constellation of Leo for the past two-thousand years, and its roles here-said, come to its natural end.
The Royal Star of Regulus proclaims and bestows now, its benevolence and benefits of the next 13 cycles (or two thousand years) to the Moon Cult under the constellation of Virgo naming her one of the Four Royal Stars of Persia."
Unfortunately, you will never hear that statement in a Marvel movie, a Political Statesman or General Assembly of any Patriarchal kind, nor a famous Astrologer, an Avenger, the Pope in the Vatican, a Mullah in the East, no Harvard or Oxford Scholar or Archaeologist, not even in a Star Trek movie. Why? Because we do not like change as humans, especially collective changes.
In astrology, the Royal Stars of Persia are: Aldebaran, Regulus, Antares and Fomalhaut who both giveth and taketh away from humanity. These are still regarded as the Guardians of the Sky (heaven) and divided into four sections with each Royal Star giving attributes and benevolence to humanity. When one Royal Guardian changes, it all changes. Regulus has changed from the masculine patriarchal fire sign of Leo into the healing and everyday of the earth sign of the feminine Virgo.
ROYALTY OF FOUR STARS
All are now in place, the shift occurred with the other three, waiting for Regulus to start its new cycle that makes the wholeness of the Four Royal Stars new beginnings. ldebaran (Tascheter) – Spring Equinox Guardian of the East (rebirth) @ 9° Gemini Regulus (Venant) – Summer Solstice Guardian of the South (the root and abundance of humanity) @ 0° Virgo Antares (Satevis) – Autumn Equinox Guardian of the West (harvest) @ 9° Sagittarius Fomalhaut (Haftorang) – Winter Solstice Guardian of the North (death) @ 4° Pisces This four great circles in the sky, or generally the four quarters of the heavens where Regulus lay very near to the summer solstice.
Now the great royal kings must lay down and surrender their long rulership of the Regal Regulus in Leo, as Virgo becomes the new blessed one, the feminine and her abundant health. Regulus was involved with the Full Eclipse August 21, 2011 but officially entered Virgo on November 28, 2011 as 2012 soon approached, so it is a changing of the guardians.
Many astrologers speculate that Virgo will teach Leo to put aside his pride and ego, but what is more likely is that Leo, ruler of the Sun and the Solar Cult (god) of the Patriarch, loses his Royalty of Regulus and appears in he, mean and his true form without power will reveal itself. We can see what the Regime of Trump looks like without the blessings of Regulus or any other country.
The Behenian Fixed Star known as Alpha Leo or Cor Leonis, also known as Regulus, should be considered under the auspiciousness of change now over the next thirty years (2012-2032). Regulus being one of the four Royal stars that sit closest to the ecliptic which have been the markers of the four corners of the zodiac for millennia. These Royal Stars used to grace the fixed signs of the zodiac, Antares – Scorpio, Regulus- Leo, Formalhaut- Aquarius, and Aldebaran Taurus, but as the signs have since moved out of alignment with the original constellations, their teachings and their myths that they are associated with, will also change.
The great changes will occur in small ways over a long period of time. Fomalhaut is now at 4 Pisces; Regulus now at 0 Virgo; Aldebaran is in Gemini at 9 degrees; Antares is now at 9 Sagittarius. Antares and Aldebaran are exactly opposite in the sky, shifted in about 1300 ce, and Fomalhaut shifted to Pisces in 1725 CE and is now opposite Regulus / Virgo. This fixity opposition can cause great tensions in humans, countries and the earth herself.
Since 200 bce Regulus has been in Leo and this last and third decan 3 over 600 years, was ruled by aggressive and war like Mars, influencing the energies of men with outbursts of power, agression, control and war. It was also the rape of the ‘common woman’ the strong and virtuous Virgo.
PAST REGULUS IN LEO HISTORY
There was mention of the Royal Stars influencing the ancient Egyptians roughly 4,000 bce, as the Patriarch was just a seed starting its planting at its very beginnings. Also noted was when the ancient Persian prophet Zarathustra mentioned them in the Bundahishn, the collection of Zoroastrian cosmogony and cosmology, in approximately 1,500 bce.
I have learned through observation and trial & error with my conscious intellect and my unconscious dreaming turn conscious, that the energy of celestial events and even moon eclipses are not personal, we are effected yes, but so is everyone else, so they rule humanity and the collective earth. This effects the whole but not every individual, unless its conjunct something in the natal chart. Lets learn a bit about Regular in Leo as he exits stage left, and then re-enters in Virgo…
Such is the tale of Regulus who I see as the great Archseraphim of an entire “age” bestowing collective blessings to the named “Little King” which it was called in the second-century by Greek astronomer Ptolemy. When the great return of the Moontime began in 2017, it occurred exactly on the full Eclipse August 21, 2017 and the New Moon/Sun Eclipse conjunction which included the fixed star Regulus. This is a Royal Star and has great power, and its been in Leo about the last two thousand years. Its blessed the Patriarch and those who would seek its power, leadership, fame, armies and kingdoms. Regulus was named by the Polish astronomer Copernicus (1473-1543), as a diminutive of the earlier name Rex, equivalent to the (Greek) Basiliskos meaning “Little King.”
The last twenty-one hundred years of Regulus’s blessing were for men and they were in full power. The only comparison we have today was the generation of Baby Boomers ruled by Pluto in Leo as they reached great heights of creativity, fame, leadership, and drama. Heaven blessed what they were to do in Leo's clothing.
The time has come to an abrupt, it was good while it lasted. We can look with hindsight at the accomplishments through his record keeping history and like the ocean that covers the earth in great ages of change, all will be lost of men’s history, except what is carved into stone and even that will eventually wear off or the symbols will have been forgotten and their meaning.
Regulus ruler of the Heavens, Sharru, the King, marked the 15th ecliptic constellation of Babylonia in regards to Regulus in Leo; in India Magha, which means the Mighty; in Sogdiana (a Persian people), Magh, the Miyan, meaning the Center. Among the Turanian races, it was called the Masu, which means the Hero. In Akkadia it was associated with the 5th antediluvian King-of-the-celestial-sphere, Amil-gal-ur, (Greek) Amegalaros. In Arabia it was Malikiyy, meaning Kingly; in Greece, Basiliskos aster (Little King star); in Rome, Basilica Stella.
Pliny (23-79 ce), called it Regia meaning Regal; in the revival of European astronomy, Rex; and with the 16th century Danish astronomer Tycho, called it Basiliscus. So, too, it was the leader of all of the Four Royal Stars of the ancient Persian monarchy, the Four Guardians of Heaven. Dupuis, referring to this Persian character, said that the four stars marked the cardinal points, assigning Hastorang, as he termed it, to the North; Venant to the South; Tascheter to the East; and Satevis to the West: but did not identify these titles with the individual stars.
Flammarion does so, however, with Fomalhaut, Regulus, and Aldebaran for the first three respectively, so that we may consider Satevis as Antares. To understand the powers that Regulus bestows, as it changes hands from masculine to feminine, we have to review the highlights of Leo. Regulus in Leo: “They are always right, their rule is absolute, any challenge to their authority is seen as betrayal. Loyalty, loyalty and loyalty, this is the number one demand of their loved ones, employees, slaves, society, military, mother earth’s resources.” Regulus or the “Heart of the Lion” and the introduction of Regulus into the new Sign of Virgo will be shown by what has been happening and emerging in the world since 2012.
Even though the shift of the Patriarch is over by transformation (Harmonic shift: 1987-2026), the match-maker Regulus is already starting slowly to wields its power with the example of collective punishments and fascist leadership around the globe and how fast they fall. Many coincidences and every astrologer should understand that unless they are younger than their Uranus opposition, and how the winds of change are swiftly when they boldly move throgh kingdoms very fast. The same thing happened in the Old Kingdoms of Egypt and Mesopotamia, and when the winds of Regulus blew, the Nubian Grandmother Queens were never heard of again (the ones who taught and cultured the ancient Egyptians).
The King and the Kingdom must in order for life to renew, how evolution of nature works, and the beckoning of the celestial ruler to the myths will chose new leaders of woman, with a new agendas, and her name is Virgo. There is a great thrust of energy towards healing in a more collective way and each individual who has the power of Virgo shall begin to commence and share first destroy the old ways which will be the generation of Pluto (death and rebirth) in Virgo.
The next purifiers are the Millennials with Pluto in Scorpio, and now Pluto in Aquarius is beginning to square natal Pluto in Scorpio and then each succeeding group younger than them shall follow suite. Since the old myths (stories, and the archaic astrology) about Virgo were written only from men’s views and the ability to read and write were limited for everyone but Religious Men, they controlled the narratives up untio post WW2. The Kingdom of Leo in power, Regulus’s destruction of women’s original roles and roots in life, society, village, motherhood, and tribes including indigenous, changed.
As we say goodbye to this and welcome the Matriarch once again, not everyone will be happy.
SYMBOLISM
After the forty year shift and end of the Sun Cults, we are transforming into the Moon Cultures once again, very slowly and like Neptune itself, very hidden at first. I found it fascinating that on the Full Eclipse of August 21, 2017, three ancient swords were found in England by little girls. Those who are cycle-symbologist enthusists or practicioners, understand that these signs were very important, both from the past and the present.
THE FUTURE SYMBOLISM OF VIRGO-REGULUS
Virgo is from the Latin word virgatus: ‘made of twigs’, from virgo, "wand” and also related to the word virga, virgate means shaped like a Wand and was an early English measurement of a land area. Verge, ‘a wand which was an older form of the staff carried as an emblem of authority.
Matilda Jones from Doncaster England pulled a four-foot sword out in 2017 of the same Lake that King Arthur’s Excalibur blade was tossed in. The Lady of the Lake takes back her Sword now. Swedish American, Saga Vanecek also pulled an ancient sword out of Lake Vidostern in Sweden. Her name means the Seeing One, named after an ancient Nordic Goddess. Her interview in the video is below.
Archaeologists finds ancient sword in the Vrbas River near the Village of Rakovice, close to the medieval city of Zvečaj, north of Bosnia and Herzegovina When Regulus was occulted by Venus in 1959, it was the start of the official feminist movement which began very strongly in the sixties and seventies and has continued today and was one of the heralded marks of the Regulus shifts.
Regulus in Virgo, began officially from its first entrance in 2011, entering fully on the Spring Equinox, of August 21, 2017, when the Sun was at 150 degrees east of the March equinox point. That’s the same date the Sun and Regulus in Leo, are always in conjunct but this time, the larger collective alignment had begun. Regulus passes through all the signs of the zodiac and takes about 26,000 years ending a large cycle as Regulus moved into Virgo for the first time.
The sign and constellation of Regulus in Leo, was in a masculine Fire sign ruled by the Sun. Virgo, the earthy feminine sign ruled by Chiron and Mercury rules the Healer and purification. As we enter Virgo Regulus, the first on the agenda, is to remove Grandfather’s patriarchal decrees of power. Life will take care of this like it always does.
The elevation of the Grandmother, is the symbolism of triple goddess (virgin in its original context of free woman). In Egypt, Virgo was drawn on the zodiacs of Denderah and Thebes which Eratosthenes and Avienus identified her as the Winged Bird Goddess Isis, the thousand-named eternal goddess, with the wheat ears (later symbolism) in her hand that she afterwards dropped to form the Milky Way making her a celestial goddess.
Those who claim very high antiquity for the zodiacal signs assert that the idea of these titles originated when the sun was in Virgo at the Spring Equinox, the time of the Egyptian harvest. The original meaning of Virgin is an adult woman who carries her own verge (authority) her own power, owner of land and her own terms of prosperity and will definitely challenge the kingdoms of the 12th an 13th centuries of what we know as patriarchal power today.
Aratos said that Leo first marked the harvest month; so that another signification has been given to the word stachyodes (stakhuodes). In basic astrology, Virgo and Gemini belong to the House of Mercury and Chiron, and its association being plainly shown by the caduceus of that god. The symbolism of the herald’s trumpet entwined with healing Serpents, instead of the palm branch, which was a newer representation held in the left hand and lastly, the symbol was Virgo holding wheat.
Originally and far more appropriately, Virgo’s stars have been given over to the care of Chiron, the healing manifestation rites and also where we caused karma. Demeter and Ceres, were associated with Virgo and her namesake, the long-time goddess of the harvest. The latter said that the appearance of a comet within its borders implied many grievous ills to the female portion of the population during Regulus in Leo. This is because Virgo was associated with Leo in the ancient opinion that, with the heat of the sun, the moon is eclipse, only when the moon eclipsed the sun was their relief; Ovid alluding to this in his Ars Amatoria:
Virginis aetherus *** caput ardet equis.
In autumn when the sun in Virgo by the radiant heat ripened hath our corn.
“In Ogygian ages and among the Orientals, she was represented as a sun-burnt woman, with an ear of corn in her hand, like a gleaner in the fields.” This makes the associations of the Mothers, not Maiden as we’ve come to associate her with. With the Heavenly blessings of Regulus given to Leo, Virgo may originally have been a much older archaic Sun Goddess who the Sun or Juniper (male god deity) took over, and after that was still associated with the sun by association of the Harvest of the Autumn Equinox.
Virgo has been also seriously considered to be Dike in her non-lesbian form, but law, and the divinity of Justice, the Roman Justa or Jastitia; and Astraea, the starry daughter of Themis, last of the Celestials to leave the earth when old ones left, making way for the new gods 4,000 years ago.
Virgo and her modest sister Pudicitia, when the Brazen Age began, Ovid wrote of this: Virgo caede madentes, Ultima coelestum, terras Astraea reliquit; She soared up to heaven, selecting this abode, yet at night she shows herself. This makes Virgo one of the oldest purely allegorical representation of virtue and honor comparing her to the Egyptian Maat of the Dark Goddess, the light side of the dark.
When woman was being dismantled, torn apart and changed to fit into the Leo Regulus, or new male societies of leadership over human beings, Virgo, Libra and Scorpio had to be rearranged and redefined.
Scorpio, Queen of the Underworld, Virgo, Deity of the Heavens and Libra the goddess Aphrodite who balanced both were demoted and reassigned from woman and grandmother all into maiden. These legend rewrites seemed to be first found under the pen of Hesiod, other authors mentioned her as Eirene, Irene, the sister of Astraea, and the Pax of the Romans, with the olive branch; as Concordia; as Parthenos Dios, the Singing Sibyl, carrying a branch into Hades; and as Tukhe, the Roman Fortuna, because she is a headless constellation, the stars marking the head being very faint.
Classical Latin writers occasionally called her Ano, Atargatis, and Derceto, the Syrorum Dea transferred here from Pisces; Cybele drawn by lions, for our Leo immediately precedes her; Diana; Minerva; Panda and Pantica; and even Medusa. Posidippus, 289 bce, gave Thesbia or Thespia, daughter of Thespius, or of the Theban Asopus; and some said that one of the Muses, even Urania herself, was placed here in the sky. Aspolia is from Kircher, who in turn took it from the Coptic Egyptians, the Statio amoris, quem in incrementoNili du ostendebant.
This, however, is singularly like H Polias, designating Minerva as guardian of citadels and the State, already seen as a title for this constellation; and there was a Coptic Asphulia in Leo as a moon station. Ishtar, the Queen of the Stars, was the Ashtoreth, the original of the Aphrodite of Greece and the Venus of Rome; perhaps equivalent to Athyr, Athor, or Hathor of the Nile, and the Astarte of Syria, the last philological akin to our Esther and Star, the Greek Aster. Astarte, too, was identified by the Venerable Bede with the Saxon goddess of spring, Eostre, at whose festival, our Easter, the stars of Virgo shine so brightly in the eastern evening sky; and the Sumerians of southern Babylonia assigned this constellation to their sixth month as the Errand, or Message, of Istar.
In Assyria Virgo represented Baaltis, Belat, Belit, and Beltis, Bel’s wife; while some thought her the Mylitta of Herodotus. But this was a very different divinity, the Babylonian Molatta, the Moon, the Mother, or Queen, of Heaven. In Cingalese zodiac as a Woman in a Ship, with a stalk of wheat in her hand. Al Biruni thought this ship marked by the line of stars beta (Zavijava), eta (Zaniah), gamma (Porrima), delta (Auva), and epsilon (Vindemiatrix), like a ship’s keel. Varaha Mihira borrowed the Greek name, turning it into Parthena, Partina, or Pathona. In Persia it was Khosha, or Khusak, the Ear of Wheat, and Secdeidos de Darzama, this last often translated the “Virgin in Maiden Neatness”; but Ideler, doubting this, cited Beigel’s conjecture that it was a Persian rendering of Stachys, one of the Greek titles of Virgo’s star Spica. Bayer had it Seclenidos de Darzama.
The early Arabs made from some members of the constellation the enormous Lion of their sky; and of others the Kennel Corner, with dogs barking at the Lion. Their later astronomers, however, adopted the Greek figure, and called it Al ‘Adhra’ al Nathifah, the Woman remains of which are found in the medieval titles Eladari, Eleadari, Adrendesa, and in the Adrenedesa of Albumasar. But as they would not draw the human form, they showed the stars as a sheaf of wheat, Al Sunbulah, or as some stalks with the ripened ears of the same, from the Roman Spica, its brightest star. Kazwini gave both of these Arabian names, the last degenerating into Sunbala, found in Bayer, and Sumbela, still occasionally seen.
The Almagest of 1515 says Virgo est Spica. The Turcomans knew the constellation as Dufhiza Pakhiza, the Pure Virgin; and the Chinese, as She SangNeu, the Frigid Maiden; but before their Jesuit days it was Shun Wei, which Miss Clerke translates the Serpent, but Williams, the Quail’s Tail, a part of the early stellar figure otherwise known as the Phoenix.
In the land of Judaea, Virgo was Bethulah, and, being always associated with the idea of abundance in harvest, was assigned by the Rabbis to the tribe of Asher, of whom Jacob had declared “his bread shall be fat.” In Syria it was Bethulta. Thus, like Isis, one of her many prototypes, Virgo always has been a much named and symbolized a heavenly figure; Landseer saying of it, “so disguised, so modernized by the Greeks, that we literally didn’t know her when we saw her.” Virgo is the bearing ruler over Crete, Greece, Mesopotamia (Middle East), Turkey, Jerusalem, Lyons, and Paris, but always as an unfortunate, sterile sign.
Manilius asserted that in his day it ruled the fate of Arcadia, Caria, Ionia, Rhodes, and the Doric plains to its demise. Ampelius assigned to it the charge of the wind Argestes, that blew to the Romans from the west-southwest according to Vitruvius, or from the westnorthwest according to Pliny. A coin of Sardis, the capital of the kingdom of Lydia, bears her figure with the wheat ear in her left hand and a staff in her right; and the stateres of Macedonia have much the same. The Alfonsine Tables showed her as a woman with wings; the Leyden Manuscript and the Hyginus of 1488 as a woman with branch and caduceus, and the Albumasar of 1489, as a woman with a fillet of wheat ears.
The old German illustration also gave her wings, but dressed her in a high-necked, trailing gown; and Durer drew her as a lovely winged angel. But all these figuring, ancient as some of them may be, are modern when compared with the enduring Sphinx which Virgo rules, generally claimed as prehistoric, perhaps of the times of the Hor-she-shu, long anterior to the first historical Egyptian ruler, Menes; and constructed, according to Greek tradition, with Virgo’s head on Leo’s body, from the fact that the sun passed through these two constellations during the inundation of the Nile. Some Egyptologists, however, would upset this astronomical connection of Virgo, Leo and the Sphinx, Mariette claiming the head to be that of the early god Harmachis “Horus of the Horizon.”
I agree with him, Horus, the Pharaoh head of the Spinx was a prophecy of the soon to come Old Kingdom and the Pyramid Society (hierarchical). Horus was the new symbol for the dominance of the male and all his patriarchal gods in every country of earth starting with Regulus in Leo. It is for the four stars in Virgo, forms with epsilon Vindemiatrix – (On the Euphrates it may have been Kakkab Mulu-izi, the Star Man of Fire, possibly symbolizing the god Laterak, the Divine King of the Desert; although that title has been assigned to mu), two sides of a right-angled triangle open towards Denebola, Gamma, (Porrima) at its vertex.
