It's just a warning. I wouldn't kick anyone out who isn't 18. Like I said, I added the 18 warning later when someone mentioned it, and I thought it was a good idea. The age is just an arbitrary number that reflects an adult in American society, and topics about abuse and such are more mature in nature. When a Knowflake shares that she was molested as a child and the horrors she endured, it can be quite disturbing to some people to read, and a warning before entering is appropriate. It isn't about excluding anyone--just letting them know that some of the subject matter can be disturbing to sensitive people, especially children. IP: Logged |

Sweet Peas...To openly write about such severe problems..
on the internet, for the whole world...is
not good in my opinion...there is alot of
evil-negative out there, to expose oneSelf
in this manner, is not a good idea,
you can become prey to those who want to
take your energy..
these type issues, like being molested..
should only be spoken to a Mental Health
Professional...
the more you feed the negative, the more the
negative will come to you...such graphic
things should not be part of this site...
It should be a safe place, but it's the
internet, the whole world...

Like anything else on the Forums, being able to talk to others in complete anonymity to work it out and feel their compassion can make a world of difference to people who have no one else to talk to about these things. Yes, Linda could do it without offending. But not everyone writes like Linda. Sometimes when people express pain, it can get ugly...and that's perfectly okay. Sometimes, people just need to scream. And while a cyber hug isn't as warm as a real one, sometimes it's all a person has.  ------------------

I thought that could be my last comment,
but I was wrong..
I believe that those deep issues should
be discussed in personal emails..for
evil preys, on those with hardships, weakness, and tragedy..
For example, when LEXX talks about all
her hardships, they come ten-fold..
when she doesn't give it all that energy
her hardships are less, and life is okay!
Feeding the negative energy in public is
not a good idea!these are just my opinions! ------------------

Emerald.It is just my opinion as well. I would like it if things were better and everyone could be safe and sound. People do get preyed upon, so do what works best in your situation. I have already been titled the boards worst and most boring advice giver, just so you know.

Lotus....I Agree with randall.
Sweet Peas is a Good forum.
Abuse,torture,drugs,adultery,metal health, problems,abortions etc etc happens for a reason.
Pain is a part of humanity in order to for self-realisation.
If you or anybody denies such problems in the society by not being helpful by atleast giving solace or um some kind of advice for those who have undergone such traumas by ignoring issues and telling such victims to keep it to themselves we will be only sprading fear of the unknown..It will only serve as a justification to the murderes,abusers and other evil doers to thrive and get away with such henious crimes.
There is nothing wrong in practising and propogating about healthy sexual practises.
All kinds of people live together,one may never know even if they come face to face with a serial killer.
Turning a blind eye to such issues will not serve any purpose whatsoever.Victims of hurt must come out of the closet and recognise the fact that they were innocent targets of the these demented people.So my opinion would be to be the change you want to see in this world! Mblake that applies to you too!

There is a forum called
Health and Healing...those type issues would
lead members there.. if you read through
the forum quickly you are not going to go to
Sweet Peas in the Rain..
for mental health issues.. it seems to be getting
spread thin in here...
