The comments after the article should be convincing. Even non-conspiracy buffs are shocked.

Look at this comment:
"McCain and Levin are traitors and deserve to be hung in a public square. Make no mistake, if Abraham Lincoln were here, he would have seen to it that they were arrested, given a fair trial, and then sentenced to death by hanging. McCain and Levin are the internal terrorists. If this law passes, they should be arrested by the military for terrorism and put away indefinitely without trial, charges, or an attorney. Their own law should backfire on them. Traitorous ******** ! "

The 93 senators who voted or this Act have clearly betrayed the American Electorate.

This Law is far worse than Pakistan's Anti-Blasphemy Law considering the fact that America is 200+ year democracy with a strong history of Civil Rights and Free Speech.

It is time all the protest groups wake up and attack the real problem [Martial Law] than occupying parks with vague demands.

Between S. 1867 (the NDAA), SOPA, PROTECT IP... it really looks like the powers-that-be are ramping up the endgame. The upcoming exact Pluto-Uranus squares over the next few years (think 7 exact hits) are not going to be pretty.

Looking at those bills (all of which look likely to pass, and Obama's veto-threat (not out of concern for personal liberty mind you) being toothless with a 93-7 margin), plus the other goings-on... If there's going to be a last-minute miracle to prevent a fascist or fascist-like state manifesting, it needs to happen soon.

Senate passed it today, 86-13, a day or two after the House reconciled it 283-136, after obama dropped the veto threat.

To a dark place this will take us. I suppose there's always the Supreme Court... eh, not holding my breath.

Obama has promised to sign the bill into law.

There is a petition here.. everyone needs to sign this.. we are not a fascist country!

You just need one officer saying you commited a belligerant act, terrorism or not, and you can legally be put away for life with no trial.

It has passed 99-1 in the Senate..

The Indian Government is also toying with Internet Censorship these days, but so far no plans for fascist laws. Earlier we had a regressive law called POTA [Prevention of Terrorism] but it was misused to jail minorities. As of now, even a foreign terrorist gets a fair trial in India. I cannot imagine the need for such harsh acts in USA where there have been no deadly terror acts since 9-11. This is definitely aimed at Patriots, free thinkers and those who want to live without government/Banking Cartel interference.

Devil's advocate in me wonders if half the stuff they're pulling isn't because of some actual bona-fide threat that would cause definite panic... like a comet heading for Earth. But I very much doubt stuff like Section 1031 of the NDAA is because of that much concern for the public welfare.
