If this passes anyone can have their citizenship stripped from them for being hostile against the United States and can be detained indefinitely under the already established NDAA. http://www.addictinginfo.org/2012/01/06/new-bill-known-as-enemy-expatriation-act-would-allow-government-to-strip-citizenship-without-conviction/ My understanding is that they can also take away our possessions for disagreeing with the state as well, or is that England? It was in an Ian Crane documentary. IP: Logged |

Well that's rather convenient for the "I can detain citizens... but I won't" signing statement isn't it?Although it seems to me like these powers are meant for whoever is to be the next president... It's also like they're no longer hiding their intentions at all. IP: Logged |

It gets even better:What worth is that statement about "won't use this against citizens" if they can strip citizenship? http://www.addictinginfo.org/2012/01/06/new-bill-known-as-enemy-expatriation-act-would-allow-government-to-strip-citizenship-without-conviction/ Behold, the Enemy Expatriation Act. It's like 1930's Germany again... IP: Logged |

I don't think it's been voted on yet. You know, the fact that NDAA got passed and SOPA/PROTECT IP and this Enemy Expatriation crap is getting ramrodded through, ... it's almost like they feel like they're running out of time or something... Or, the pieces on the board, and they're about to follow "Check" with "Mate". (Or so they think? Hmm...)IP: Logged |
