Hi everyone, I've never really talked about any of my health issues. I do consider myself very healthy, I am 15 you know. But what I do have as a sickness is Chronic Asthma. Now I remember having it ever since I was 6 or 7. My earliest indications I remember is coming inside after recess and being the only one out of breath. I thought it was normal to have it when I was young, but when I grew older my mom realized I had a problem. After a couple of years I even when to a hospital in an ambulance for a severe asthma attack. I cant even have pets especially cats becuase they are the main cause of my asthma attacks and you know thats been very heartbreaking for me becuase my mom had to take away a cat that lived with us for awhile
I've also been on plenty of medications inhalers, liquids, a nebulizer (it's a kind've machine, and right now I'm on pills. I have to take them every single day, there called Singulair I'm sure you've seen the commercials.
My question is I was wondering if there was any past life or some spiritual build up that occured in my chest and lung area? Does anyone understand what I'm saying? Why is that I have asthma in this lifetime? Actually most people have asthsma in this life, why?
I know that my asthma can be healed but its very hard to believe since I've had it for so many years.

Star, I had asthma as a child and young adult. One day it just vanished. I didn't will it to go away, but it just happened. So, yes, it can heal permanently. Elohim may know its mental cause or the root of it. I would say it might be caused by a fear of Life (failure to take in the breath of Life). Enjoy Life to its fullest, and never ever use asthma as an excuse. And don't allow others to use it as an excuse for you or on your behalf. One day, I feel you will suddenly realize that you are no longer "tested" by this choice of dis-ease any longer. All my Love to you. I know exactly how you feel.

OK heres what I've discovered

1. I've got a book written by a Rabbai that believes some of the causes of Asthma is a previous experience in the Concentration Camps and this was caused by the traumatic effect of being gassed and it has returned in this life.

2. A chromtherapy book I have explains that Asthma is due to shallow breathing. It denotes fear, too much introversion, sense of futility, lack of creative influence or laziness. People living fearfully instead of Powerfully, and the lack of the colour Orange.

3. A student of the founder of Aikido Pat Sunegawa had chronic asthma as a child and his father made him train in Martial Arts to combat this and within 2 yrs it disappeared and never returned.

The conclusion I make is breathe deeply, have regular physical exercise and eat foods of all the colour spectrum and it should leave.

I was diagnosed with a mild form last year and that's when I noticed I was shallow breathing, it was also at a time that I wasn't living powerfully, and at the moment I have a wet cough that isn't going away. I looked up the book on chromotherapy and it said there was an excess of blue in my system and to start alleviating it with red, I don't have red glass so I'm drinking red herbal tea and eating more red spectrum food.
Asthma for me is caused through fear, and it does go away, I was prescribed inhalers and then I found out they contained steroids, and just recently one of the drug companies has placed an advertisement on the T.V saying that one of it's products contains/contained C.F.C's and is being withdrawn.
Are we Human guinea pigs or what.
And why didn't the doctors and drug companies tell people this?

This is what I have a problem with, money not health at whatever cost.

Mambo, psychologists say, that asthma is rather suppressed anger than fear. Knowing many people at different ages who have it, I tend to agree. But as they say in “Star Wars”- “Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hatred, hatred leads to the dark side.” So it can both be right.
I never really had asthma, but I had panic attacks where I couldn`t breathe for a whole while. They are gone now thanks to special breathing techniques (www.ivillage.com) which allow the entire amount of CO2 in lungs to come out. Also they are really soothing for the psyche. StarLover33, try to think over what may have caused you asthma. Often the answer is half the cure. Than try to find on the internet (perhaps on the ivillage site) some techniques which will help you to overcome your asthma. I`m sure it is possible! Couldn`t be allowed to have pets is such a sad thing and all in all asthma must be terrible. Wish you much luck,

Love and Light, Venera

StarLover33, I am sorry for replying so late.

I don't have any experience with Asthma, nor do I have a close one who has suffered this dis-ease. So, I cannot give you my own interpretations...

However, one Reiki book I have says that Asthma is caused by not being able to *give* as much as one *takes*. It says that when we are not able to breathe our fully, we are not able to breathe in either, subsequently. And this is the root of Asthma.

I feel the inability to exhale fully shows that the person does not trust that they will get more of *breath* ~ something important for survival. It seems the condition can be healed if one trusts Life, and KNOWS that they will always be supported and sustained by it.

I have another thought, which Feels right. In Star Signs, Linda said that lungs are ruled by the sign of Gemini. So, possibly, Asthma is rooted in the Gemini aspect of a person. For example, maybe they have Saturn or Chiron in Gemini, or in their third house. Or maybe they experienced a lack of Love (or Nourishement) in their childhood (the age which corresponds to the Gemini archetype). Think about it ...

All the best to you, in your healing from this dis-ease. Just like all other dis-eases, it is curable! And Randall is proof for us!

Elohim, it's strange seeing your Post, because earlier today I saw a fish out of water on tv gasping for "air," and that "symbol" or Sign seems to jibe with what you are saying. The fish was desperately trying to survive, and it reminded me of this Topic.
