This is a ritual for women hoping to become pregnant, given to me by a friend who is a witch, or wise woman. She says it works if you are truly ready for a baby, but if you have fertility problems, then physical treatment may be necessary as well. Help it along by using astrobiology!1. Sit in a quiet place where you have privacy, preferably your bedroom. 2. Light an aromatherapy burner and add 6 drops of essential oil for a girl, 9 for a boy. If you would like a girl, choose rose or jasmine oil; if you would like a boy, choose orange or nasturtium. Use only high quality oils. 3. Write your wish down on clean, white paper, in a simple and direct form in words of your own choosing. Something like: "My heart, mind and body are open to you, baby girl/boy. Come to me". 4. Fold up the paper and put it in a special box you have bought for this purpose. Along with the paper, put in a piece of rose quartz to promote your own health, and a stone to represent the baby. For a girl, a blue lace agate; for a boy a quartz agate. Dip your finger in the oil of your choice and lightly mark the inside of the box with it. 5. Close the box, put the box under your bed, and blow out the burner. 6. This ritual should be performed when the moon is waxing. By the time the moon cycle is complete (about 4 weeks), you should be pregnant. IP: Logged |

what a nice ritual! what do you do if you don't yourself want to choose the gender of your child-- i dont think i have a preferance, and i'd probably raise them about the same way anyways. tho, i suppose if i already had a girl, i'd then want a boy, and vice versa... do you leave the box under your bed throughout the pregnancy ?IP: Logged |

My friend says that if you don't care about the sex, then you can use "gender neutral" oils and gemstones. Choose ones that symbolise the qualities you would like in your child. Turqoise is a safe gem to use - native Americans gave it as a gift to new babies for good luck. You could do some research on gems and oils, or just trust your intuition.You don't need to leave the box under your bed for the whole pregnancy, but I'm sure it would be fine if you did. It's just occured to me that if you use astrobiology, you already know what sex the baby is going to be. As there is only a 2-hour window of opportunity, the Moon will be in a particular sign when you are fertile.If it's a Fire or Air Moon, it will be a boy; Water and Earth Moons are for girls. So once you've looked up your lunar chart and know what the Moon will be when you're ready to conceive, just choose the oil and gem to go with that sign. If you already know you want a specific sex, then just wait for the right Moon date! IP: Logged |

this is a very interesting ritual. i have heard of some like this but never really knew what was done in the rituals. *Quick Question* do oils have a gender??? and what are "gender neutral" oils???------------------
