Hi to all. My name is Annie. I am an Aquarious sun, mercury and jupiter all conjunt.Virgo Ascendent. I just had my 65th birthday. I am sharing this infor with you because I thought if you know a little about me you might know that I am truly concerned about people. I care if you and your loved ones are not doing well. I can only share with you things I have studied for many years and am comfortabe with. I have been resading the Health forum with much interest and concern. Because my chrildren (4) are all grown I have time to read and reserch. I would like to share with you the things I have read and experienced over the years. There are 2 types of immunity. The innate and the adaptive. Innate imminity is the bodys first line of defence against all invaders. Things like skin, tears, mucus and saliva are part of th innate system. The system I would like to talk about is the adaptive system. When invaders get past the Innate system our bbody calls on its mobile defenders to locate and indentify both enemies and friendsl, and to destroy the enemy cells. This system adapts and changes with each new challenge PROVIDED IT FUNCTIONS CORRECTLY AND CONSISTS OF FULLY HEALTHY CELLS. More to come. I am still learning how to work this computer so I go easy!!! Hi All Thank you for the positive response. When neccessary the good cells become active and destroy the sick cells. They only destroy cells that are either already infected or producing "bad stuff". White blood cells are the king pins of the immune system. Some white blood cells are known as macrophages, which means "big eaters". They surround, ingest and destroy invading bacteria and other foreigh organisms. You also have specialized whit blood cells that identify and destroy invading antigens. T cells seek and destroy cells they recognize as having specific antigens on their SURFACE. This is a very simple explanation of the immune system. I am not a medical person. What I have found out when trying to teach mysely about all of this stuff is it was very hard for me me mostly because of the very big words they use when talking about the body!!!
Sometimes I wonder if "They" are trying to keep us stupid about our own bodys. Oh well, that is another forum !!!!!!!!!

Welcome Annie I am interested in what you have to say. My daughter has Sickle Cell Anemia it is a blood dis-ease and the red cells are the cells that cause the problem and are shaped abnormally it will be interesting to hear what you have to say to us again Welcome ! Jade

Hi All, I have been in Vermont visiting my daughter. I did not have access to the intenet. Because of what is going on aroudn the world (war and the new viris SARS) I think it would best to give out web sites and books so you can get the information faster. The natural supplements I take and have been taking for 6 years is called Mannatech. If there are other companys that produce the same kind of product as Mannatech I do not know. From what I unerstand many companys that sell the latest in technology go this route so the Associates can teach people about the products. There is so much that has been discovered in the past 10 years that is so amazing. Having so much Virgo energy I love to research the research!!!!!!!!!!!
