Hi everyone,

My daughter had the ultrasound this morning and we saw the Dr. this afternoon. This is what we've learned so far:

A large, cystic mass (25 cm in size) was found around her right ovary; the ovary wasn't even detected on the ultrasound. More tests are necessary. Tomorrow she gets bloodwork done, Thursday morning she gets a cat scan, then next Wednesday we see a "gynecological onconlogist", who by then will have the test results and will consult with us regarding surgery.

Whatever it is, it must come out. The Dr. we spoke with today asked if there was a family history of this type of problem and I had to tell "my story" of having a tube and ovary removed to resolve infertility...and years later of the cyst that developed on my remaining ovary, along with uterine fibroids...necessitating a total hysterectomy. In my case there were no malignancies.

Then the Dr. said the words that we are CLINGING to: "Given how young she is, and the family history, my professional opinion is I 'doubt' that this would be cancer. I can't make any guarantees, but the type of cancer we're talking about is very rare". How's that saying go? "From his mouth to God's ears"? Please.

My daughter is naturally very upset (as we all are) and is worried about surgery causing her to miss a lot of school, bless her. She's a very good student and doesn't want to fall behind so close to the year's end, but I will be consulting with the officials at school and I'm confident they will work with us.
Priorities are priorities.

So...this is all for now. PLEASE: continue to pray for her, send healing light and love her way, and feel free to ask others you know to do the same; her name is Melinda.

Again, thank you all for your caring and support.

I'll post more as we learn more.

Place her name on the Distant Healing Network ASAP.....they really work miracles.
Just look it up on google and you will find it.

In the meantime.....here is some healing light and some for her.

Twinlady, I'm glad you gave us the update, I already wanted to ask you myself how things went at the doctor's. I'm sending healing energy to your daughter and thinking about all three of you

If it's any consolation, almost every girlfriend of mine had at least one cyst or some kind of a fibroid, I had several & a polyp, and I didn't need an operation, while some of my girlfriends did, even my sister, but it's a routine operation, women go to the hospital all the time for these kinda things (at least here), and you just spend a couple of days in the hospital (for the doctors to make sure everything's alright). These cysts etc. are a result of our way of life, so I agree with the doctor, I think your daughter is too young for cancer (banish the thought!!!). Anyway, my sister had a part (the "neck") of her uterus removed when she was 31 or so, and last year, at 33, she had a strong, healthy baby without any problems. She's fine and will be able to have another baby soon. I hope you find some consolation in this rambling of mine... Stay strong, Twinlady, my thoughts and prayers are with all three of you!!

an extra for Melinda
