A freind of mine is going through a very very rough patch and he is very depressed. He's having trouble seeing the beauty in life and I would like to remind him of how wonderful things really can be.I'd love to do something nice and different for him to maybe help open his eyes a little to the magick that is still in this world. The problem is I am at a loss for ideas.I know this is an odd request but I was wondering if any one had any ideas at all of what I could do for him to maybe help him feel a little less pain right now.
I know I really didn't go into details of his situation, ut I can tell you that he loves music and loves to be outdoors.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, love and light to all,
Marcie

Imaiden76,

Register to attend the Landmark Forum
http://www.landmarkeducation.com/index.jsp

I am doing the Curriculum for Living, and recently finished the Advanced Course. The SELP program begins in August.

Feel free to ask questions or call them directly. I have had amazing results using tools from Landmark. I definitely know your friend will get a lot out of participating in the Forum.

The Landmark Forum is 3 days long, from 9 am to 12 midnight---Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a Tuesday night session from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. A person really gets a lot out of the Forum and learns tools that helps them create a whole new realm of possibility for themselves---and it works instantly.

39 hours is a much shorter duration than the depression your friend has been in.

I had been in a depression for 5 years. I totally know what it feels like and it is a complete nightmare. Nothing from the outside worked for me, only the deep internal introspection and revolution to let go.

Please let your friend know about Landmark Education. It is a great program and nearly 98% of participates leave highly satisfied learning things they can apply into their lives.

The Forum is intense, emotional, and a complete transformation for the future.

Love and Light to your friend Marcie. The best advice you can get is from someone who has gone through the same thing. I would listen to Aphrodite as she has experienced the same thing herself and has gained positives from landmark.

In the short term, all you can do is love this person. Big hugs, cook a favorite meal, buy a small gift, send a card/email, make a call.. every little bit helps.

Good Luck

Marcie, that's great that you want to help your friend -- and Aphrodite and RRR give good counsel. All I can add is that perhaps you can share a special experience that uplifts your own spirit with him -- a place in the forest, ducks in a pond, or take him to a concert in a park, or a ceilidh! I once took someone to a public space that had an incredible echo; we played there for a long time. The only thing is, attach no expectations that anything like this will change him or his depression; your friendship is enough, and this is just a gift you give him freely. You can't help him feel less pain; you can only offer the comfort of companionship, or as Ruby says, love.

Aphrodite... I've noticed the Landmark clarity in your posts... good for you.

Wow thanks guys.

And thanks again Aphrodite for all the info! What I meant by more immediate was befor August(that's when the class starts right). That is something that is definatly worth looking into weather or not anyone is depressed. From what it sounds like I'm sure much insight can be gained for one to learn how to overcome their challenges and face a new day. I will definately let him (and me)know about the program, and I am so glad it has worked for you too.

I will give him big hugs of love Ruby, and Lunar girl thanks for adding that I should keep in mind that this one day won't change his mode but by just being there for him to offer him my love and friendship can do a world of good.

Thank you guys are the best!
Marcie

The Landmark Forum is worth it.

Ah, for the time being. Look at his chart and find where Saturn and Chiron are. Saturn is where a person is most likely to inflict the most criticism and judgements. A place where they are the most severe with themselves. Chiron is the cure, the self-healing process.

Best,

Aphrodite
