Well, we've been talking about this sort of thing through the entire thread on hypothyroidism. We've been discussing our own personal experiences, physical and emotional. As we said, Niki, with care and good help from your health professionals, you should start to feel much better as soon as your TSH becomes more regulated. Be aggressive and pro-active with your care. Once you have a reading near 1.0-2.5, it will take a few more weeks but you will likely feel there are lightbulbs going off in your head! Now that you have been diagnosed, and have begun treatment, there is a light at the end of the tunnel for you. If you read back through the thyroid thread, I once had a TSH reading of over 100!! I think it was 135, they were aghast and did the test a 2nd time to confirm.
Astrologically, I have no clue what might be indicators of tyroid problems, though I would suspect it might be some sort of water influence, either of the moon or mars. But don't quote me on that! You may want to ask that in the Astrology forum.
I know you mentioned that you've read through the about.com website on hypothyroidism, which is a wealth of knowledge. Maybe you want to consider doing some more research there? And the woman who moderates, Mary Shomon, has written a book specifically for the lay person to read and understand. I know amazon.com carries it, if you're interested.
If you would like to discuss some of your specific problems, I'm sure there are many of us here would be happy to lend a sympathetic ear.
