I started reading Linda Goodman's Star Signs". I'm at the medical part and how symptoms relate to your star sigh, or it's opposite.
I'm a #9. Cancer. Supposedly, one of the health issues is stomach problems, I already know this. Because I have them. My opposite sign, Capricorn, these health issues are indications that there may be a problem with my stomach. Two of the symotoms mentioned were rashes and skin problems. Which I have.
Four or five times a year this rash appears on my face, only my face. I spend 3 months on antibiotics, and of course there is the secondary infections! The Dr. don't know what it is, so I start steroids and anti's.
Second I can't use any product of any kind on my face, not even soap. And forget over the counter creams of washes. Hypoallegenic?, forget it. My face is constantly breaking out and leaving scars! My diet is decent, I don't eat fried foods etc..... After 6 or so I've never had a flawless complection. Not one good day. To make matters worse I am blind in one eye and it's noticebly smaller than the other. I can't use any make-up, and have lost all of my teeth as my sign indicates. Lovely huh. My face looks like something from "Tales From The Crypt". I'm 49 years old I have the right to not have acne!. So, is there anything I can do herbally? Or Some natural mask or something?
I'll try anything at this point!
Thanks for any advice in advance.

Oh, I am sure it's not all that bad.
And you wear false teeth? Big deal. No cavities!
Have you considered going to an holistic healer, or an herbalist? They might have an all encompassing whole routine that perhaps your doctor is unaware of.. or discredits, due to scientific proof.... all that matters is what works for you.
Were you premature?
Are you hypersensitive to Sun/detergents/additives? Workplace toxins?
Do you notice a reoccurent pattern when this mysterious rash appears? Has he/she ruled out rosacea?
Is it raised? Or flush?
Just curious.

There's a lot I could suggest, but first, try 50 Mg of zinc a day (after a meal).

Please go to the question about curing dandruff. I've posted a reply that will help you considerably. Trust me on this. I have seen the worst cases of skin clear up on this regimen. Although topical stuff may help, it is really only a temporary solution as are antibiotics and steriods which control the inflammation.

You have to treat the underlying cause of inflammation of the sebaceous glands. Sebum is good natural lubrication for the skin but when too much is produced glands become blocked and inflammed causing pimples, blackheads and cysts which leave scars and pitting. Please read that posting and take my advice. Also you must cleanse your skin with a very mild non detergent cleanser at least twice a day. Do not use a moisturizer for now until your skin is clear and balanced.

I spent years working with a chemist to develop skin care products for my stores. I am also a trained nurse - though I don't work in that capacity. I have taken some of the worst cases of skin problems, especially acne, and through supplements helped each person become clear. You must do your part though and follow the regimen as listed.

You have every right to expect a clear, balanced complexion.

I've listed what you need on that posting and yes zinc is one of the most important minerals.

I need to know if you are taking any medications at this moment, and also what medications you last took and when. There are quite a few medications that can cause acne and skin reactions, though chances are if you've had this problem for years, that probably is not the case for you. Either way we can help you and it's NEVER too late.

That is VERY frustrating. I do recommend that you go and see a good allergist to find out if there's anything that you could cut out of your diet -often wheat, dairy, alcohol- that my at least alleviate your problem (if you haven't tried that already).
Second, I've now been seeing a homeopath for 5 months and I am SO much happier now than I was before and homeopathy is fantastic for treating YOU, mental, physical, emotional (since one, I find, invariably links to the other, particularly the digestive system, I find!).
Good luck!

Thank you everyone!
I will work on these remedies and let you know what results I get.
Interestingly, I had a tea tree oil chapstick lying around here. I didn't use it after tasteing the awful taste. I have recently started using it for chapped lips, and some on my face, now i feel like a post-it note, very sticky!. Will your formula help with the scarring?
P.S. I'm 40, not 49. Typo.
again, Thanks!

Everyone has given you some fabulous suggestions. I would like to add to all of their wisdom. In addition to trying holistic medicine, zinc, allergists, and proper cleansing... have you considered Reiki? I am able to give Reiki treatments, and I find it is very helpful and relaxing. I believe Reiki amplifies whatever healing plan you are on. In some cases, some believe that Reiki alone can cure... maybe this is true. I find it's the best advice to use Reiki as an added bonus to ensure results.

I began giving Reiki treatments when I was hanging out with this fabulous group of wiccan gals. All were Reiki practitioners, a couple Reiki Masters. One of the Reiki Masters offered to attune me so that I could take part in their weekly Reiki circle. I went through the attunement with her and began going every week to the circle. I never felt better in all my life. The circle has sorta broken up now... as life does happen. I still have the ability to give Reiki treatments, and use it with my children mostly.

I'm sure there is someone who practices Reiki near you. I suggest you find someone and start a treatment plan. A lot of people in Western Medicine are coming around to the idea of Reiki, and you will find a lot of Chiropractors and Massage Therapists who are also Reiki Practitioners. Also check occult shops for someone. A lot of them are also Pagan.

Reiki will not only help with your skin, but also send healing energy to your tummy. Tummy trouble is NO FUN!

Philbird,

Do not put a tea tree oil on your face. I am also an Aromatherapist and I would not recommend it. Later when we start clearing your skin, I can certainly give you advice on which oils to use and how. Infection needs to be addressed in the lower layers of your skin first where it develops. It actually takes a pimple three weeks to develop fully. Supplements that deal with skin turnover will certainly help reduce the look of scars. Murad do a supplement that is great for skin clearing. If you take none of my advice, then please at least take two of his all in one supplements daily. They have a lot of what you need.

Calcium is also needed because it reduces acid in the body. It will help with the other disorder too. Coral Calcium from www.greatamericanproducts is best. When tested was found to be purer and more easily absorbed. It is galcier calcium and has no mercury in it as found in sea produced calcium. I want you well. It is a shame for you to suffer this Philbird.

Why not put tea tree oil on the face.
And by the way, how many occupations have you had? You and some of the others sound like Encyclopedia Britanica! I see myself as a "Jack of all trades, but master of none". I think all of those experiences were really good for me. If anyone cares to hear about them, just post.

I trained as a nurse when I was very young. I didn't work as a nurse very long. I became really interested in alternative medicine. Later in life, I owned several stores and started a subsidiary company called 'Giaura' producing natural face and body products using organic essential oils. It was very successful at a time when Aromatherapy was not all that common. I mainly produced the line for my own stores. Although later on I expanded on that.

So that I could better understand what my chemists were doing, and what I was trying to sell. I took various comprehensive courses on Aromatherapy, it's applications, oil extraction, both natural, solvent, and bio-compatabilities.

This is the reason I do not recommend Tea Tree to you Philbird. You said you had a reaction to most things. Tea Tree is strong. Yes, it does have strong anti-bacterial acne properties, and yes, it is a powerful stimulant. It is also astringent pure. It would probably cause your skin to become dry on the upper most surface, causing the sebaceous glands underneath to go into over drive producing even more oil. We need to control the balance of the sebaceous glands first.

I'm sorry if I sound like the Encyclopedia Britanica! I have had quite a few different occupations it's true. However I would never go so far as to call myself a 'Master' of anything not ever!

I'm 45 years old and still learning every day - God only knows what I may do next.

Gia,
The Britanica thing wasn't an insult. I'ts my way of saying you are a well rounded person. And that's good. OK about the tree oil. Thanks! I too have had many occupations. The job I have now was a blessing in disguise. I was constantly searching for the ideal job for me, but never found it. Until a year and a half ago. I didn't look for the job, it came to me. It's not perfect in the sense that the money is good or I love the work, It's perfect because I can set my own hours, and don;t have a boss nagging at me. He lives in CA., and is a very nice dude!. Anyway, it came at a time when I needed to work on myself and forget about "The American Dream". That dream was shoved into my brain before I had a chance to make my own decision.
Love to all!
P.S. Can anyone tell me how to manipulate the smilie icons. I wanna be a jumping frog too!.
