Today I woke up, felt good, happy, and very positive. I work with the public (in a service capacity) and I had 3 mean, rude customers today. The first one, I didn't let ruin my day. The second one, bothered me more. Tried to forget about him. The third one, was the absolute worst. I have to greet people and say certain things. This lady was on her cell phone. I tried to say something and she said "don't talk to me!!! don't talk to me!!!" I could NOT believe it. I almost cried but didn't, instead got really hurt and upset. So I went to take a break. Went and made an Emergen-C, a vitamin C drink. Sitting there and a spider drops right into my cup!!!! What in the heck?????????!!!!!!! I had to throw the drink out. I just think that no matter how positive you are, no matter how good you try to be, no matter how nice you try to be to people, I have bad luck in getting the rude people. I think I have bad luck in the world. Thank you for letting me vent and thank you for listening. IP: Logged |

for NephthysBad days suck. At the risk of sounding Mary Poppins-ish, "Tomorrow will be a great day!!" Tell yourself a spider landing in your cheer up C-drink is a positive sign.. you'll come into money! ( Postives out of negatives) Even if it isn't true, if you believe it, that's all that matters! I had a bad one yesterday. How rude of that woman!!! I can't believe some people.. Iknow what you man. The person on the phone is a disconnected voice.. a person in front of you is a human beiong with expressions and feelings that are evident. One takes precidence over the other, in polite society... that's why you generally don't answer the phone when company is over.. or excuse yourself.. cell phones have made a mockary of polite behaviour... or rather.. People attached to celphones have. Rant finished. Just understanding, I am in a customer related field as well.

Nephthys, how are ya today?? *furrowed brow* Didn't see this yesterday - I wish I had - I had the worst day yesterday! People were being so abrupt, and taking advantage of my usual good nature - I wanted to cry & almost did on several occassions BUT HEY - It's today now and I'm feeling better - preparing myself for a good weekend.pixie - how strange you mentioned a spider in the drink - that happened to me last night!! Well on closer inspection it was a teeny fly that resembled a spider, in my 'comforting' cup of tea! (BTW - haven't spoken to you in aaaages, must do somethin' bout that soon ) *thinking* - or 26 actually! I hope y'all have a good start to your weekend

Pixelpixie,I totally agree what you said about cell phones. I wish they were illegal to drive while talking here. Here, everyone drives while talking, goes everywhere in the stores, etc., talking on a cell phone. What is so important that they can't wait until they have parked in the parking lot, or until they get home, to talk? It's true, people are so rude with them nowadays. I wish they had never been invented. I only use mine for emergencies or long distance, (while I am at home). Also, if I am driving to my friend's house in Sacramento, I call her while I'm almost there, or to get directions, but I use the earpiece so BOTH hands are on the wheel. Sheaa, WOW you had a bad day too!!!! AND a bug in your drink too?! That's weird. Hopefully today will be better, I need to get ready for work now. I still want a new job, though. Thanks everyone IP: Logged |

I guess because I'm a fairly private person, I find it difficult to comprehend having what I would consider to be a semi-personal convo on one's cellphone at the grocery store. I see that all the time. Hubby calls me from the store to say, "they don't have that thing, what about this", which is fine, but if someone calls me on a cell phone in public to talk about something serious or personal, I ask them to call me back when they're somewhere a bit more private. Improper use of cellphones is one of my pet peeves too.Hope your today is great Nephthys! IP: Logged |

Thanks, Isis! Well it was a horrible, h*ll day today I think it's okay like you said when your hubby calls you if they don't have something, but imagine if he called you while the checker is checking him out, right in the checker's face? That's what I think is rude. I had a horrible day at work, but got good news when I got home! I'll post about it at my forum!!!! IP: Logged | |
