hi everyone...
i'm about to start the red colour plumpie diet, and was wondering..
is white sugar allowed in the plumpie diet?i remember in star signs linda said both white sugar and white flour was a no no for the plumpies(and skinnies)
but then in her star note (feb) she mentions that white flour can be used during the diet.but i'm not sure whether she meant both white flour and white sugar or just the flour, because her plumpie food list does contain 'ketchup' and that does have white sugar in it...
can any of you help me clear up my confusion?
also,i'm gonna use a 60 watt bulb,is that a problem?i cudn't get any 100 watt ones...

thanks for your help..

love n peace...

Hi Gooober, I asked that same question when I was doing it but I can't find the thread so...Star Signs says that it should not be used but I think that someone here showed me a revision of that assertion that Linda put in the Star Notes that white flour andwhite sugar is okay, I think. Because I asked too about the sugar because I wanted to eat Corn Pops (the cereal) but there was sugar in it so I believe that I was told that it was okay. The thread started by Cassandra has information and personal testimony about bulb wattage on it. Star Signs says that it should be at least 75 watts but I believe I read where someone was using a wattage in the 40 area, I don't know what they had to say about the success. You know, in Star Notes where Linda gives the name of a place in Connecticut that has bulbs? I called that place and got hundred watt bulbs from them. *Now I think that not everyone at that store knows exactly what they are talking about as far as the specific red bulbs are concerned so if you get a negative, just call back until you get somebody who knows because I did get mine there* that's if you do want the 100's.

Oops sorry, I didn't look at where you were! As long as you do not feel as though there is anything wrong with the white sugar then you should be fine. YOur welcome and Good Luck!

Hi! I am a sugar addict. I don't know about the plumpy diet...but when i eliminate sugar from my diet...i feel so much better. I can lose weight when I eliminate sweets and sugar from my diet, as long as I don't get heavy-handed with food with high fat. One summer (I was much younger then), I quit sweets and had energy for a lot of walking...and I dropped 20 lbs in 3 months without any fuss and bother with my diet. After about a week of being off of sugar...the cravings subside...then I put on blinders...like I just don't SEE desserts. However, when I fall off my wagon, then I'm back to having to have a daily fix of the deadly substance. Good luck, merciful1

As for me, I wouldn't sweat the small amount of sugar in condiments. Do you know who is sugar's best friend? FAT!!! That's why desserts are so disastrous. Salt and Fat are pretty chummy too...all those foods that are used for immediate gratification. If you think about snack foods, convenience foods, desserts, and restaurant food--all very high in sugar, fat, and/or salt. Best of luck to you, merciful1

Well, I was thinking excess salt, as in chips and other packaged snacks, and in fast food and restaurant fare.
As for myself, yeah, I use the salt shaker.
I hope things are going well for you with that. Actually, I don't know that diet...will have to get the book, I guess.
