i'm so allergic to them!

i have 10 cats...5 of them newborns, but i can't even pick them up they make me so sneezy and itchy-eyed. this usually develops into a cold-like malady.

i've had at least one cat around for the last 4 or 5 years and i've only developed this allergy late this summer it seems, my little boy as well. how did this happen?

any remedies? please help!

thanks...purrrrrrr purrrrrrrrrr

Allergies normally occur when the body is bombarded with too much of something. I encourage you to think about that. Stop and think about your space, the air you breathe, and even how you clean. Sometimes when we change cleaning products this sets off another whole motion.

It seems to me your body coped well and is now overwhelmed. Too many of those sweet kitties perhaps?

Allergies happen when the immune system wrongly identifies a non toxic substance as an invader, then the white blood cells go into over drive. Typical respones are nasal congestion, sneezing, itchy eyes, headache and sometimes, skin rashes too.

Here are some ideas.

Keep your immune system strong.

Change air filters in your home.

Try an air purifer.

Try combination homeopathy remedies for pet allergies.

Animal Hair/ Dander.

Bio Allers have these special combination formulas. You can get other makes too from most health stores.

Allergy Helper - Continental Vitamin Company
This is a herbal formulation that is good for relieving allergy symptoms.

Wild Angelica ( food of the Angels )
Is particularly good for clearing up sinus and eye problems. This herb balances the histamine levels. It is also known by the name of Akabaizi.

Hope it helps. The kitties are so sweet.

My husband is allergic to our cats. I have to make sure to keep the couches vacuumed and the cats well groomed (brushed daily and bathed monthly)... then the issue is minimal. I'd like to get an air purifier eventually, but finances don't allow for things this expensive ATM.

That's a cute baby

... hey, I swear that baby was just orange ... now there's two

Alright... how'd you do that? Each time I refresh there's a new kitty
