Tip for you health freaks..

Turmeric is said to have lot of curative properties such as "Alzeimers disease" and HIV.
Any indian household has a store of it and is a reason they say, the Alzeimers rate in India is so low.

I use turmeric in every food I cook. Without these "masalas" any Indian cuisine is incomplete.

Tumeric supposedly has positive effects on muscles. I've noticed that my supplements for fibromyalgia have tumeric in it - so I pee bright tumeric yellow all day long.

Indeed a mistress...

By the way its also antibacterial.

I still clean my meat with 1 tbls salt and 1 tblsp turmeric and mix well and wash with water.

Also I saw on TV the effect it has on human blood on direct contact. I noticed how leeches after they suck human blood and are treated with turmeric, vomit all the blood swallowed.

Amazing natures gift this one.

Some notes on this great root!
Turmeric prevents blood platelet aggregation that can lead to dangerous blood clots. Turmeric Root also helps to protect the liver, and is excellent for those exposed to toxic chemicals. Turmeric is also anti-mutagenic, and helps protect the body from mutagens such as smoke and other pollutants. Studies on Turmeric have verified that the herb possesses cholagogue-type substances which increase the secretions of bile. It has also been suggested that Turmeric lowers blood cholesterol and helps with weight loss. Recent investigations suggest that curcuminoids may be active in the external treatment of certain cancerous conditions, this is presumably connected with the cytotoxicity of these substances, which has been demonstrated on cell cultures, including tumor cells. Past topical applications of this herb include its use as a poultice for athlete's foot, bruises, psoriasis, swellings, and wounds.
