Well, for two months, I have been eating the RDA of fruits and vegetables. Ever since I could remember, my body has rejected vegatables by making me vomit. There is no psychological reason for this, I've checked.
(like being forced to eat veggies when I was a kid) So, now that I am volenterely choosing to take better care of my body, this should be a good thing right? Well, I physically feel worse than before I ate the RDA. I'm constipated, bloated, and have constant nausea. I have no extra energy. I see no benifits. I choose to eat better so I would not have to take vitamins or pills. But now that I am doing the right thing for my body, I feel the need to take Bean-o or digestive enzimes. This isn't right. I know humans need a well balanced diet, but is it possible, possible, that my body rejects veggies as a sign there is something wrong with eating them? For me?
Like an allergy or something. We hear stories about milk being so good for you, and then find out milk is for baby cows, not humans. Any thoughts?

By the way, the gas is really embarrassing! And constant!

Just a thought that it could be an allergy to the pesticides. Is the produce you're consuming organic?

It could also be the newness; that your body is reacting this way temporarily.

I hope it's temporary, and I'm sure there are pesticides. I don't live near an organic foods store. I did eat some veggies before, but not the RDA. Are there any combination foods that may help digest the veggies?

Philly, what fruits and veggies are you eating? I don't always eat organic either. They're hard to come by and very expensive here where I live.

You could try following your meals with digestive enzymes, which are available at any health food store, or even at your local Wal-Mart. Most stores that sell vitamins sell some sort of digestive enzymes, though I can't vouch for their quality.

Hope this helps a little bit. By no means am I an expert.

I watched a program on digestion recently. The digestive enzymes are:
amylase; lipase; proteases; lactose; and cellulase.
Cellulase is the one that has to do with digesting plants (vegies). Anyway there are digestive aides that combine the different ones.
Ginger root helps digestion a lot. You can boil it in water like a tea (after skinning it) or buy ginger tea. Reed's natural ginger ail is really good. Bromelain and papain are digestive aides too. Sorry if this is TMI! Eating pineapple might provide relief--it does me.
