I have just read a study on the latest findings of ADD in children. It shows that they all have very low levels of serotonin. I believe that this dignosis is on the rise because more children are becoming serotonin deficient and is some cases totally depleted of serotonin because of their diet. They are high sugar, high carb diets. They have higher chances of getting chronically high insulin levels and thyroid problems because your body decreases hormone production if serotonin levels are low.

I don't believe in all cases of ADD linked to low levels of serotonin.

There are so many things involved

what about the DRD4 7R gene?

what about Omega 3 Fatty acid deficiencies?

what about the overlapping symptoms with Dyslexia and Dyspraxia ...that can lead to Dyslexics,Dyspraxics misdiagnosed ADD...like disorganization, short term memory issues, and nonlinear, outside the box thinking.

I also don't believe that ADD is a disorder. I believe that it's an alternative way of learning, thinking, and being.

Many ADDers are creative,artistic,sensitive

also...many ADDers have a history of mental illness any way. There are many ADDers with Depressive Disorders,Anxiety Disorders, and even Bipolar Disorders

I am Dyslexia,Dyspraxia,ADD and I have Depressive,Anxiety Disorders.

a lot of people are like me in that regard.

it's cormorbidity.
