havent read linda's books on the subject, but there is one formula that seems to work...when, calorie consumption<calorie expenditure, weight loss occurs. in other words, eat less than you burn. burning more calories than you are consuming=weight loss. pull-ups burn lots of calories. IP: Logged |

well if you are talking in feet (which we use in the usa) then i would venture to guess that you are slightly overweight. although i do not think you are very overweight. i imagine you have a somewhat dense bone/muscle structure and that you should not lose too much weight. probably the most you should lose would be 10-12 kilos. have you ever practiced any of the yogic asanas or breathing techniques? they are reccomended. before getting into any excercise routine it is reccomended that the "breath" be mastered. http://yogaclass.com/breathe.html practicing this technique is reccomended. the goal should be for the "yogic breath" to be second-nature. once awareness through breathing happens, most excercise routines can be done safely (if done without ambition). your excercise should be whatever you want it to be and whenever you want it to be. through the practice of breathing you will become much more aware of your body's natural impulses and signals. you will be much more aware of how much food you require and what kinds of asana and other excercise is appropriate at any given time. I think mixing of different exercises also help. Instead of doing same exercise everyday, keep on changing it from different choices like swimming, skipping, kickboxing, aerobics, weights, Pilates etc. Yes, calorie consumption<calorie expenditure. That's the great formula. IP: Logged |

yup i was reading a book and i came accros about certain thing to eat which will help in reducing fats from the body......like............ 1. add mint to ur tea which helps in reduction. 2. avoid salt (normal) and sugar in ur food. 3. squese a lemon in a warm water add rock salt to it and dring it in the morning. 4. make a salad of raw tomato + rock salt + onion and add it to ur luch and dinner. 5. drink a glass of lukewarm water before meals & do not drink water after meals. 6. buttermilk + black salt + powder of caraway seeds drink it daily once a day. 7. brest walking for 30 min 8. 30 min workouts all streaching and other exercise 9. some time for yoga 10. most important possitive thinking 11. no oily, fried and sweet stuff. today i am suppose to bring all the nessecery stuff. so i think & going to do all this stuff from tommorow......... so what do u all think will all this work out. and yup it is a great formula calorie consumption<calories expenditure. Hi, I actually did the Red diet many years ago. I didn't have to loose much, but those stubborn few kilos. I didn't notice any change, no drastic weight loss. (Maybe it works better for severely overweight people.)But it also didn't hurt me in any way. In the years that followed I lost and gained those few kilos depending on my life style.------------------ You can't lead a cavalry charge if you think you look funny on a horse. J. Peers IP: Logged |
