Wow, the most amazing thing happened.
For the past couple of months I've been studying Level 1 of Reiki, and yesterday I completed it successfully!
Recently though, I've had alot of turmoil going in my life, and for the past couple of weeks I've been majorly depressed and I've felt very low.
Then, this afternoon I suddenly felt very high and all of a sudden I was optimistic about everything! I was making new goals, I quit my boring job, and decided to jump into a Labor of Love with a business partner, basically I was no longer feeling low. So much changed in such a short time, in like an hour!
Then, just a moment ago I was notified I had receieved my long distance attunement from a Reiki Master earlier today...around the same time I started feeling wonderful and light headed!!!
Anyway I just wanted to share how wonderful it was...and yep, Reiki does work!

Hey SunChild! How cool, studying Reiki? Something I'd love to do. As universal synchronicity would have it, I've been looking into having some treatment done when funds permit

I think LS was studying Reiki also, and would love to pop over to the US for that

I'm glad you feel it's helped ~ love to you as always hon. Do you still feel the effects the day after?

Hey Philbird! I think the change of name has done you a world of good *smiles*

Wow I am doing a reiki course at the moment (level 1) I found the link to it on this site.
After reading your post Sunchild I am really optimistic now. I have had a lot of negative responses when I tell people that I am doing a "free reiki course over the internet".

However the way the course has been conducted has been wonderful...really stripping away all the western add-ons and getting back to basics.

How are your practice sessions going?
I wish you every luck and happiness in your new adventure....Nev

Thanks Philbird!

Hi Sheaa , I've had some treatment done when a few years ago for a headache, and it worked to some degree. And now for some reason I've found myself studying it! I still feel the positive affects, it's nice.

Nevill, don't let the free course over the internet put you off.
Would it be Carol by anychance?
Anyway, she is great!
Funny thing really, when I was searching around, I noticed I was seeing 'snowflakes', it was wierd. And so I put a pic of a snowflake as my msn display picture.
Anyway, when I found carol, I noticed that she calls hereself 'Lady Snowflake', and I thought, wow, the synchroncity! So it felt right, you know?
I've noticed that the course, and the manuals resonate well with me, and the philosphy is not about putting beleifs or restrictions into your mind.
I did a practise session on myself last night, I had bad asthma going on, and I fel myself relaxing the chest area. I haven't done it on other people yet..I will wait until I really know my stuff.

Thankyou, I wish you well too!

Thanks for the encouragement Sunchild..

Yes the course is by Carol. It feels right for me too I sense it is the right thing for me at the moment Carol sent me an e-mail the other day to say that practicing on yourself at first is ok and that working with/on others comes later as your confidence grows. I am only doing the course to heal myself however you never know where our winding life paths will take us next...

Thanks 26

Hey Nevill, Carol is magnificant.
I'm studying Level 2 now, and then I might do some practise, I like the idea of being able to heal myself and others.
For me, Reiki is a purely a way that helps me Channel healing energy using belief.
All you need is Mind Power, and it will always work.
My partner knows how to heal, but he's never studied Reiki, he just knows how to remove my 'monthly' pains, and headaches.

He is so cute when he does it, he puts his hands on the place that hurts, and squints his eyes, and he concerntrates so hard, and he believes so hard too! Awww...

That's cool that we're both doing the course, we can chat to eachother if we need help. At the moment I'm still trying to memorize ailment and cause, and the hand symbols...how are you going with that stuff?

Could you please share her link? I'm interested in learning this myself ~ I think my mother would be interested too.

Thank you

Sorry for the delay in replying Sunchild...

What do you mean by hand symbols do you positions,

The ailment and causes were not new to me, I have seen something very similar before and have referred to this list many times. My preferred list is by Louise L. Hay.

I am having a little difficulty doing the full hours treatment on myself. I get so far through and usually wander off mentally/daydream or fall asleep.( I am a postman in the UK and get up every day at 3.30am). I do feel much more relaxed and less aggressive (especially when driving).

Do you do the five principals thing every morning and night?

ps. do you know why Carol is going into hospital?

hey nevill,
oops yeah, I meant hand positions...but there are symbols too!
What was your first impression of the power symbol (if you're up to that part)?
I felt its resonance.
Very cool.

Yes I think I've seen Louise Hay's book, vaguely, but the ailment and cause in this course is very limited, I want to find a complete list one day.

I'm not sure why carol is going into hospital, but lets send her some amateur distant healing!
Yes the five principles are something I've read before, but I do forget to do them, but they are always something I live daily though.

I totally Love your quote.

I have sent Carol some amateur distance healing today, It was very amateur as I have only just received the lesson that includes it and have not read it properly yet (scanned it very quickly).

I have been using the power symbol though and the cleansing symbol, I draw them on my shower head each morning to cleanse my Aura etc. as I cleanse my skin.

I have also been secretly cleansing my place of work (the souls in there are not enlightened in fact most are quite negative, 50 men at 4 o'clock in the morning are not a wholesome sight). However I only spend a couple of hours with them before I jump in my post van and ride off into the sunrise!!!

If you can find Loiuse L. Hay's book "You can heal your life" you will find a complete list of ailments and their causes with affirmations to counter the negative thought processes that manifest in dis-ease. Her books are always positive and full of LOVE and hope.

I just received my Level 2 attunement!
And so far, I only feel level 1 qualified, but I'm going to continue studying and go right through to the master level.
I've just told all my friends, so if they need (minor) healing, like for headaches, or menstral cramps, they'll come to me before popping a pill!
I feel this is something that I naturally enjoy doing!

How are you going with it nevill?

Hi Nevill, *winks at philbird...

That's great you want to do the master level, now that I'm at level two, I think I'll do what your doing and let it 'sink' in for a while, I don't want to rush into 'being a master' as yet. I have much to learn.
I am looking forward to helping friends and family, I will post the result, hopefully I will get good feedback.

Hi SunChild

Congratulations on your Reiki attunement. I've always wondered about long distance attunements and healing. I've never really known anyone to use that route. Way cool.

There are several excellent Reiki books out there... Magik of Reiki is a really good newer one. The Reiki Factor is another excellent book on Reiki... although its a little older. Actually, I believe its the first book published about Reiki. The author (Barbara Ray) has(had?) a Ph.D in Humanities and is(was?) a member of Mensa.

Hi Libra,

Thanks! Even though I know long distance works, I still hope to get some lessons personally from a Reiki Master too. Thanks for the books you recommended!

I received my final attunement the other day, and I will receive my certificate soon. I'm trying to learn as much as I can!

Hi I am back off my Holiday to Cornwall UK

I had a fantastic time surfing on my favourite beaches but have come back down to earth with a bump (returning to work etc. etc.)

I seem to have lost my connection.....??????

I have been feeling down and I seem to be getting really angry over trivial things and this is not leading to a very harmonious family life at the moment..

Post holiday blues ....maybe?
I may need to have a good hard look at my self and life to sort myself out I think...

I need to meditate and may be consult a good astrologer any suggestions greatly accepted Nev.
