i dont know if this is exactly the right forum, but i need to rant. I am having sooooo much trouble with my doctors. i dont have insurance. i dont qualify for medicare becuase im not pregnant. i cant purchase insurance, because everything affordable dosnt cover pre-existing conditions. i cant get my doctors to return my calls, or just answer my questions about my meds without having to make an appointment(that cost $50 everytime.) i have spent over $700 this month alone om meds, appointments, and tests. ive already wiped out my savings, and im barely making it by. two different times, my doctors have gone over a week without calling in my meds, and ive had to miss work because i literally cant walk im in so much pain. i have rhematoid arthritis. first of all, they give me steriods, which have already made me gain 13 lbs, so to counteract it she gives me high strength diet pills. and tells me not to eat for two weeks! an actual medical doctor told me this. her exact words " Normally i wouldnt tell you not to eat, you know the whole crash diet thing, but dont eat. maybe a little bit of yogart in the morning, but you only have enough pills for two weeks, so make the best of it. its going to curb your appetite and you wont even want to eat." but im still on steroids! and they dont work! im starving. i went ahead and tried for a week and a half, but started having dizzy spills, and shaking. and they keep me up at night. so after making yet another appointment she gives me sleeping pills! theyre not solving the problem. theyre making it worse. i have no clue what to do. i have 5 different perscriptions. two of which im actually taking. if i dont take them, i cant work(im a waitress. id get a new job, but i make really great money where im at, and i really really need the money)i have to work to pay off all my doctors. i feel like crap. im broke. im completely on my own. and all my doctors want to do if stuff me full of more and more meds. what do i do?

I used to have an article by a doctor who cured his mother's severe arthritis by having her consume milk mixed with a couple tablespoons of excellent grade cold water cod liver oil. No capsules, it must be mixed in the milk, and not skim milk. I'd get organic, cruelty-free full-fat milk.
Apparently the two are synergistic, and he discovered this through trial and error.

I've tried this, because I'm always curious about the cures I read. It tastes nasty, but so what? Just hold your nose and drink it up. It's far less expensive and far less damaging to your body than anything the doctor orders.

I'm not sure where I put this research paper, but I will try to find it this weekend. Or perhaps the information is now available on the web.

I would dump those doctors, btw. I have nothing positive to say about them.

Best wishes.

Maybe you could write to your local newspaper and tell your story.
The best wishes on your health.

When I was having medical issues and I didn't want to keep going in for an office visti I would fax my questions over to the drs. office and then call to get the answers.
They don't sound very professional.
