Hi everybody!!! I have got a new place and I’ll be moving in soon (I hope)… It’s brand new, so nobody else has been living there… Only the occasional workmen have been in and out. There were militar headquarters in the land before they were pulled down to build the flats and apartments. It’s on one side of a dual carriage way which is being buried underground to have a nice pedestrian area on the surface in a couple of years. I’d like to cleanse the energy of my apartment before I move in… Any ritual or formula?? Thanks, guys!!!

The easiest is to clap your hands loudly in each room with the intent of dispelling negativities. The other one is to burn sandalwood incense in each room. That has a cleansing effect. To shift entrenched negativities is to play music of very high vibration such as Kyrie from Robert Gass & On Wings of Song. I gathered from someone, it took two weeks of continous playing of Om Namo Bhagavate (also of high vibration) by Deva Premal to shift the energy in her house. As an aside, putting a cactus plant in the toilet will cleanse the toilet continously of negative energy. The cactus spike gives out a beam like energy which disintegrate negative energy in the surrounding area Good luck!IP: Logged |

Oh yes, incense is good. Smudging is good, too.IP: Logged |

Hi Steelrose,I agree with the other guys.....to clear energies I clap all around the room or use a rattle...and then smudge with a sage stick. Also you could, if you wish say a prayer and light a candle....and then I always envisage a white light around any house I live in. A few years ago my man and me sold a house which we have been living in for a few years. I used to lie in bed and do the white light ritual. The week after we moved out, the house was broken into....and yet we'd had not problems......love that white light........ Wishing you happiness in your new home....would be happy to send you some good luck from Ireland........xxx IP: Logged |

Thanks very much, guys! Hmmm… A question… What is smudging? As I will be living alone, anything I can do to reinforce my sense of security, to draw a magical circle that protects me within, to dispel bad things to get in? Any plant that I could have? Or gem? Or talisman?

A ring of salt around thehouse is very protective girl and smudging is a native american ritual where sage sticks are lit and the room/s are cleared of negative energy.......I do it every few weeks.....our son was having nightmares for a while and I went into his room....lit the smudge stick.....went around the room in a clockwise direction with it and thean clapped and asked any negative spirits to leave.....he has slept soundly ever since. "They" sometimes need to be asked to move on......albeit in a very kind and gentle way of course !! Good luck Love Sue xxxxxxxx IP: Logged |

Buy a new broom for the new house. Leave your old broom in the old home. Best of luck. ------------------ The less I seek my source for some definitive, the closer I am to fine. -Indigo Girls IP: Logged |

Hi Steelrose, Congratulatios. Hindus actual say a little prayer before turning on the gas stove. Also ritually a woman not man has to cook something (say rice pudding) on the stove and she then distributes that food to the people present there. If you have some holy water around, its good to sprinkle it around the house.

The salt and the new broom idea are good. But from my experiences the smudging makes many discarnates laugh at us! But it can makes some who want to communicate angry. Claim your space! Tell each room out loud that you live there now and to please move on. Then put in each room a note for a week that has written upon it that only you and those in body whom you invite to cross your threashold are to be there or vist. Now...if it is not ghosts so to speak...that is another issue! Same for if this was a previously lived in place! And do you want to clear the entire building or simply your apartment? You need to clear your space if it is not ghosts,,but instead non souled energy resonances. This is where smudging or simple incense will work. But it is not the smoke that is the active ingredient! It is your intentions spoken out loud as you do this that has the effect needed to clear the soulless resonances out. These enegy patterns can be left by living persons too. So after having company or when bringing something into your abode that was previously owned...repeat the intention chant that the place is yours....and no left over unwelcome energies will be there. Also tell each previously owned object that you bring home..that it belongs to you now and you alone! Also tell it that it is the object only that is now yours...anything not of the object alone is told.."be gone!" Music..be careful of that.... If you are not sure what you are dealing with...it could cause problems. I feel only your voice and yours alone should be used in these cases. You the silence and the smoke. Should take care of both discarnates and resonances. PS. If you are wanting to clear the entire building...there are other methods. Hope this helps! If you experience anything worrisome...let me know...there are other ways I could suggest.IP: Logged |

Hmmmm... A ring of salt... Interesting… The trouble is that it is an apartment. It is integrated in a building, in the 3rd floor… I cannot tecnically surround my home with a ring of salt… Unless I do it with the entire building!!! What do you suggest, Sue?Trillian, thanks for the advice… I’m not sure if I’ll have a broom in my new place… Is a broom only one of those things used by witches??? I’m used to something similar to a brush with a long handle… And I may only have a vacuum cleaner… Or a mop… IamThat, is that payer said each time you turn on the stove or only the first time? Anyway, I have one of those smooth electric ones… Holy water? Where can I get some without “stealing” it from a church? I’m not a frequent visitor anyway… Fayte… So not smudging? I liked the idea… But I don’t want angry ghosts around me! I was thinking of cleaning only my apartment… But if cleaning the whole building is not too much work, it may be worth it… Can you tell me what are the options? So what do you suggest, Fayte, for my apartment only? How do I clear resonances if I cannot use smudging or incense to not upset discarnates? What is a non souled energy resonance? I’m thinking of buying some minerals or rocks to decorate the apartment? Is there any in particular I should buy? Rock salt, quartz, amethyst…? Thanks!

Hi Steelrose, Pray only for the first time. Electric or gas does not matter. Also the cooking by a woman is for the first time. When I was a bachelor, my friends suggested that one of their wife come to light the stove and cook the first meal So you do not know of any priests of any religion who can bless water with a small prayer? Well I am not expert but if I was you, in that case, I would get the water blessed by a friend. The reason I believe water has to be included is because water is universal cleaner. In India they take water from Ganges without priests help to be blessed. It supposed to flow at the feet of Lord Vishnu and came down to earth because of her ego. The water if kept for years and taken from the source in a place called Haridwar is indeed very pure and stays that way for many years. Science is puzzled by it. Hindus also has a small pooja called Satyanarayana in new homes for husband and wife. Also in India I noticed that they tie peppers and lemon with a string and hang it in the house to avoid black magic. A friend insisted that I do same, and its still hanging at its place after 4 years Regards, IAT
