Hi guysI have decided to start exercising but I am not into mainstream sports like rugby, cricket, soccer etc. I have decided to go the martial-art-type exercises. Been doing research to see what would interest me, and I came across Body Combat. It sounds rather interesting and exciting but I want to find out from fellow knowflakes, if any of you have done it? Did you enjoy it, was it fun, or was it a waste of time? I don't want to go to my first class and find it worthless and a waste of time!

The only combat I tried was Mortal Kombat 3D...Why not first build some muscle mass by weight training, and then decide the choice of sport? IP: Logged |

muscle mass is good, but if you want a usuable body, build it by training the fine muscle tissue, try learning some techniques then use the techs with weights, ie punches and kicks with weights, this way you put on weight and gain speed also if you're serious about martial arts, do yoda or pilates aswell, they help will the flexibility problems associated with doing weights and stuffIP: Logged |

How about something like Tai-Chi? I think it's similar to the pilates but, the benefit goes beyond just the physical... I think it's also sort of like a pre- Judo training... not sure though Just a thought though, since mention was made of pilates...~ geminstone IP: Logged |

are you referring to les mills' classes? I've done some of the Body Combat and it was fun but i prefer the Balance classes as well as the Pump (which i love) i also do my own cardio routine on the cross trainer/walk/and bike.IP: Logged |
