I am just cleaning today and found a box of Almonds and Pistachio(no expiry date mentioned) which I didn't touch from more than a year. Do Almonds and Pistachio get expired.IP: Logged |

Yes they can become stale. If they are sealed correctly they should have a long life. Nuts have oils in them so they go rancid easily if not stored properly. Taste them and find out!

Please always bear in mind that, dried fruit, nuts and seeds DO go stale, too!!!Look for the labels on their packages, read the best before dates/expiry dates. Nuts and seeds normally would need to be refrigirated, otherwise they go stale very quickly. Notwithstanding the different shelf-lives of each product, when it comes to dried fruits, nuts and seeds- ANYTHING THAT HAS BEEN STORED FOR MORE THAN A YEAR, THEY ARE DEFINITELY TO BE DISPOSE OF!
