If you're nuts about the new generation of cosmetics, be aware that they are engineered using nanotechnology. This will be on a par with using botox or lazers to remove wrinkles. Totally safe, so they say. I've heard of two deaths from cosmetic surgery in the past fortnight. One was for weight loss, the other to correct an ugly chin. Be careful.

Nanotechnology produces cell-sized, self-replicating robots, so the question is: when you clean off your make-up, is it really off your face?

Also watch out for "smart" clothing. Does it have NANO on the label? You may decide you can put up with a few stains and creases rather than be a guinea- pig for untried technology
