The urinary tract infection came back again. I'm now taking cranberry 3x a day and also acidophilus because it was suggested that candida could be a cause. I went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics, but the chemist told me not to take them as yet because today I'm still having mild symptoms from a reaction I had to an iron injection yesterday! So until those symptoms (muscle ache in my upper back, and I had some eyelid twitching this morning) go away I'll be taking my cranberry and drinking lots of water... I've been reacting to things a lot lately so I'm hoping the cranberry will be enough - I'm so worried and nervous about taking the antibiotics in case I have a bad reaction!

SO TIRED of having all these problems.

Are you taking the cranberry capsules? When I have UTI, it helps me to take 2 capsules, 4 times a day with a full glass of water each time. I emphathize with you, having this makes one feel just plain miserable. Make sure you avoid eating spicy food too. Hope you feel better soon.

i too get this infection sometimes, a home remedy for this is to drink the juice/water of fresh tender coconuts, 5 coconuts everday for 2-3 days or untill infection is gone... it always works for me and my friends.. try it, it may help... no harm its a natural cure .. not bad,it taste like water.

Thank you all... I think the UTI is gone! I started taking cranberry capsules like you said - no more antibiotics going into my body. I now take one cranberry capsule every day as a preventative measure. I'm now wondering part of the problem was coming from my digestive system, helping to cause the infections and/or pushing against my bladder somehow. Digestive problems I was having got worse, so I started taking aloe vera juice - I haven't even needed the cranberry capsules since then... both problems went away at the same time. Touch wood.

Sadly though my dog with cancer may have to be put down on Thursday.

Gemini, I am so glad for you.

May I know where you got the aloe vera juice from?

Thanks Mannu - you should be able to get it from any health shop.
