Topic: Your home and it's 'temperament'? Energies?

Ok, this may sound like a strange topic but it's something I'm wondering about. I don't even know if this is the right section to post it in! I've been doing a bit of house-sitting lately. The last house I was at, from the decor and the general 'ambience' or temperament of the place, I would describe as (possibly) Piscean(?). The decor was all to do with water and the sea (Neptune?), and there was a very peaceful and calm feeling there. My boyfriend and I had a lovely time staying there!  Now we are at a house which I feel is just full of Mars energy. A lot of red in the decor, and even the movie posters the owners have got on the wall are very "Mars-vibe"... movies to do with heat, fever, aggression, lust... Also, (by coincidence?!), the elements on the stove heat up too fast and can only boil - you turn it down and they continue boiling instead of cooling down to a simmer... I've burnt food on it... the top of the stove itself is also hot to touch and I almost burnt my hand on it! Even one of the pictures they have up has in red the letters "MAR". Anyway, I find that we are both getting irritable here. It's strange because the people who live here, their energy is very "home"-based and comfortable, quite Taurean... but still I find this house to have too much Mars in it! Is that weird?? I was blaming astrological transits for our irritability lately, but it's strange that it's only been since we've been habitating this house. We are both very sensitive to our surroundings (him in particular being a Gemini - I know that a relaxing environment is what he needs for his nerves to chill out)... Anyway, does this seem like a strange phenomenon? Can a person's home have a 'temperament' or a particular planetary energy to it? It's what I seem to be picking up and reacting to. If so, what can we now do to create a better space for ourselves for the next few weeks? It's not my home and I can't do anything to the decor... there is also no oil burner here so I can't diffuse relaxing oils... I feel that some different colours or something are needed, but with me not being allowed to do anything to the decor, what can I do? How can I try to create a different 'energy' to this house?? Ambient relaxing music doesn't seem to be enough... I'm having my crystals from home sent to me via mail, which I hope might make a difference... other than that, I'm at a loss! Ideas?

I think homes definatly have temperments. Like my neieces grandmother's house is just so inviting. You walk in and it says Hello, welcome, make yourself at home. I love that house.On the other end of the spectrum, I know someone whose home says, watch your step, you are a guest and better realize it buster. Love the people who live in it don't love the home. The apartment I'm moving into has real good vibes in spite of the people who lived in it previous. It says relax, chill, don't sweat it baby. As for what you can do to change the energy while you're in the person's home-I don't know but bringing something of your own such as your crystals may help. ------------------

Well interestingly, I lexigrammed the address - not only does the street number (18 = 1 + 8 = 9) vibrate to Mars, but the letters in the address create words like ANGER, RAGE, ARGUE, etc... not only that, but ALONE and LONELY (which is how I've been feeling). Weird huh!!! IP: Logged |

my place is covered in maroon red and gold, red couches, sheets, etc....very mars feeling but also a scorpio vibe.....books everywhere/paintings/etc....my address equals up to 5= gemini/virgo
im a virgo with aries moon....

My husb and i bought our current home because the address was good. There was a prior home we loved in a great neighborhood that i refused because of the address. The address may have a lot to do with temperament but I think people leave their energy behind in a space too. IP: Logged |

Interesting... this is the first experience of had of anything like this, and I'm surprised at how strong it can be. I'll definitely be aware of the address of a house whenever I move again. IP: Logged | |
